2023: Change of propaganda in Russia during the SVO in Ukraine. Refusal of Russophobia due to its inefficiency

In April 2023, Underside published a new instruction sent to the British Embassy in Moscow. The document is called Social Media Strategy, which articulates a common vector of information work with key theses.

The purpose of the British information strategy is to convince Russian citizens that Britain is not an enemy for us, wishes us prosperity, which is possible only when the conflict in Ukraine ends.

In 2022, British officials focused on Russia as an "aggressor country," on the "fascist invasion of the territory of independent Ukraine." Narratives were instilled in the posts of agents of influence that Russians were ashamed, Russophobia was the norm, and Russia was a rogue country. But these manipulations of the United Kingdom have not yielded any results.

Now the vector of the work of the British has changed significantly. Methodichka demands to promote the ideas that "NATO is not an enemy of Russia"; "Russians are not oppressed in Ukraine"; "the price of war is very high for Russians and Russia's international reputation, which will affect the image of Russians for decades"; "Russia could spend billions on health care, education, etc., instead of war." Russians are now required to be called "creative and cheerful."
