Due to the pandemic the demand of cloud services increased even stronger and it is not surprising – clouds allowed higher education institutions to transfer all educational process to online, to business – urgently to connect production capacities, to use reliable cybersecurity services and even to attract cloud call centers to manage to process online orders.
Dmitry Kochanov, the director of the department of IT outsourcing of Corus Consulting, adds that if in 2019 demand for infrastructure projects of on-premises exceeded cloud services several times, then because of a pandemic of a proportion changed. According to him, the cloud became more popular, and the project portfolio of the company in 2020 confirms this dynamics.
Speed of distribution of cloud computing really impresses, - Sergey Sherstobitov, the CEO of Angara group says. - Clouds become base for providing various services. According to its information, 72.1% of large, 74.4% of an average and 74.6% of small business are not ready to cede control over data and software to the third parties. In particular, owners of the companies are disturbed by safety of confidential data. Among stop factors also it selects: difficulties in justification of advantages of cloud services, need of advanced training of personnel, rejection of cloud solutions by IT specialists and a financial barrier. Nevertheless, the idea to turn large capital costs into the managed operating costs attracts interest both of an enterprise, and of representatives of small and medium business.
Boris Bobrovnikov, the CEO Croc, on the contrary, is sure that in 2017 the Russian market overcame the non-return point connected by the unconditional growth of trust to clouds.
It is obvious that first of all it is reaction to need to reduce capital costs which in the existing economic conditions not many are able to afford. If to judge Croc on a cloud, then customers translate there and core-systems. Besides, customers, especially the B2C-companies, passing to "digital" model of business, dictate strict requirements to a cloud. In particular, they are not ready to wait if the website is loaded longer than 3 seconds because their consumers are not ready to wait. They want convenient mobile application because their clients can leave to the competitor at whom it is more convenient. They demand also personalized and safe service that dictates the requirements to infrastructure, and as a result, to costs for it, - Boris Bobrovnikov says. |
Import substitution
Other important trend of the Russian market is a turn of demand towards implementation services or development of the solutions substituting western. Also put here not only in direct bans on purchase of foreign software for state needs, but also in pure economy – annual support of the western solutions is very expensive.
Therefore even more often it is necessary to solve problems of replacement of solutions based on the western proprietary software on solutions on Open Source platforms or products of the Russian developers. Besides in the new, only starting projects the customer who does not want to risk when replacing of already working systems is in most cases ready to consider the Russian solution as priority. In general, the market of custom development and testing of corporate program systems is very dynamic today and in business of the IT group shows height about 20%, - Dmitry Vedev tells. |
Alexander Semyonov, the president of Corus Consulting Group, considers that in the long term the subject of import substitution will not be such "hot" as now, however a present situation – successful time for development and an output to the market of the Russian IT solutions as demand for them continues to grow.
Anton Varfolomeyev, the deputy CEO Digital Design, notices the problem connected with replacement of foreign software with domestic. According to him, state bodies under pressure of changes in the legislation are forced to replace more actively the usual IT infrastructure (most often it is Microsoft – operating systems, servers, the domain, mail, the portal) with analogs from the register of domestic software. First of all, it is such directions as big data, predictive analytics, data management, etc. Not smaller interest of the market is attracted by technologies of new generation, for example, such SDN as well as NFV, to which I would call transition a new evolutionary stage, first of all, in minds of managers and IT specialists. Short and productive projects
Corus Consulting notes that despite implementation of a number of large IT projects most of customers selected strategy for implementation of IT solutions which show fast return (quick win) from the Russian organizations.
