2022: $22 million investment attraction

In mid-March 2022, Antidote Health, which develops an AI platform for connecting doctors with patients, raised $22 million as part of the Series A funding round. The last investment round was led by iAngels, Group 11, as well as a fund with Russian roots Flint Capital. By mid-March 2022, Antidote operates in 15 states and plans to use some of the raised funding to expand its services to new markets.

But Antidote Health's success as a telemedicine company is not its ultimate goal. Antidote Health co-founder and CEO Avihai Sodri said in an interview with Fierce Healthcare representatives that Antidote Health plans to expand its services and network of providers to become a health support organization (HMO).

{{quote 'We want to be the first digital HMO for the US population, which means that we provide services and insurance coverage within one organization, and we do this to align the interests of caregivers, patients and the insurance company, "Sodri explained. }} Sodri notes that Antidote Health still has a lot of work to do before becoming an HMO: the company does not have an insurance license and cannot take risks, so all its plans must be carefully thought out to avoid possible losses. In addition, the structure of HMO means Antidote Health should be able to offer its patients a wide range of services and a large network of providers.

By mid-March 2022, Antidote Health has about 70 doctors, some of whom work full-time for the company, and some work on a part-time contract. The company is also expanding its internal team and plans to increase the number of employees from 78 to 100 by the end of 2022. According to Sodri, in 2022, the company plans to open a number of additional clinics for male and female health, care for patients diagnosed with prostate cancer, skin care and cardiac problems.

In 2022, the Antidote Health team will also launch some fintech products, including a health support navigator, a joint product with a national insurance company, and a buy now, pay later solution that will allow patients to cut costs. According to Sodri, the company serves about 2.5 thousand patients per month, and this figure is growing by about 30% every month[1]
