2020: Flint Capital purchased Intento
At the beginning of July, 2020 the Intento company announced closing of an investment round. The developer of the platform for implementation of AI with the Russian roots attracted $3 million to expansion of the product. Flint Capital, Berkeley SkyDeck and SmartHub acted as the main investors.
The attracted financing will also be used for growth in sales of Intento in Europe and the USA and for expansion of group on work with clients. The new round supplements initial financing in the amount of $1.3 million which the company received from such investors as Berkeley SkyDeck Fund, PIK.vc and Smarthub.
The Intento platform helps the companies to purchase and unroll a number of the most suitable solutions AI for processing of the arriving data. Among clients of the developer it is already possible to note several large world companies working in the field of retail, travel and technologies.
It is known that the company specializes in machine translation (MT), helping to train and estimate the MT models in more than 25 systems, such as Amazon Google AutoML Microsoft Custom Translator, IBM and DeepL. The Intento Enterprise Machine Translation (MT) system is a platform for integration of AI which allows to use these MT models directly in the existing program systems and workflows. Besides, the technology helps to complement MT with other AI functions, such as classification of the text, the analysis of moods and marking of images, and shortly will be added to them text recognition and a transcription of the speech. Intento Enterprise Machine Translation is also intended for work with traditional integration platforms, such as MuleSoft (Salesforce), BMC and SnapLogic.
