2022: $16.5 million investment attraction from Flint Capital

Circles, which developed the online group emotional support platform, announced on May 24, 2022, an investment of $16.5 million. The funding round was led by Zeev Ventures, with the participation of Uber Freight CEO Lior Ron, as well as Russian-founded Flint Capital, which had previously invested in the startup.

{{quote'There's something truly incredible that happens when people who face similar issues come together - and the better the match, the more powerful the group experience,' said Irad Eichler, co-founder of Circles. With the new funding round, we will strengthen our matchmaking technology to match people with greater precision, increasing each group's predisposition to success. This will bring us closer to our goal of making everyone and everywhere feel less alone. }}

The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic increased the prevalence of anxiety and depression in the world by 25%, and also contributed to the spread of loneliness. Because of the negative economic effects and stress caused by the global upheaval, people turn to mental health preservation apps that help manage mental health disorders caused by these and other adverse life problems. The global mental health app market is expected to reach $17.5 billion by 2030, an increase of 16.5% between 2022 and 2030. Group support has been proven to be an effective measure in overcoming depression, reducing negative psychosocial consequences, improving the overall physical and psychosocial health of patients and their families.

{{quote 'Circles addresses the gap in the market with the powerful but simple principle of human connections, "said Oren Zeev of Zeev Ventures. With leadership with a track record of successful social initiatives, Circles is positioning itself as a market leader, offering affordable group support in mental health for the first time. I am truly delighted to be part of this unique opportunity.[1] }}
