2022: Raising $3.5 million in investments, including from Flint Capital
On February 3, 2022, a fund with Russian roots Flint Capital invested in Cynomi, an Israeli cybersecurity startup that created a CISO platform for cybersecurity for small and medium businesses. The company raised $3.5 million.
In addition to Flint Capital, SeedIL, Lytical Ventures and business angel groups, including Nir Giller, co-founder (acquired), took part CyberX in the seed financing round Microsoft. The company also received two grants totaling $500 thousand from Innovate UK. These funds will be used to expand research activities, as well as to expand and strengthen the company's presence in the markets and. USA Great Britain
Cynomi enables cybersecurity professionals to effectively manage cyber risks, compliance, and operations with automated, enterprise-level cybersecurity services on an unprecedented scale. An algorithm based on artificial intelligence helps to quickly build and implement an effective individual cyber strategy.
Cynomi, led by a team of former IDF cybersecurity veterans, is focused on small and medium businesses that rely on service providers for digital security.
Billions of dollars are invested in enterprise security, while small and medium-sized enterprises are left out. Small and medium-sized companies are much worse prepared to deal with the ever-growing threat landscape - without a budget and staff, they are more susceptible to the devastating consequences of possible attacks. We simulate CISO by automatically providing IT and cybersecurity teams with a focused assessment and priority remediation plan, "said David Primor, co-founder and CEO of Cynomi. |
By automating previously manual operations, Cynomi enables managed service providers that support small and medium-sized businesses to deliver enterprise-level cybersecurity services with higher quality, scale, and speed. Automated, tailored security policies and priority solution action plans help customers create and implement an effective NIST-based cyber strategy in hours, not days. The company is already working with HOT, one of Israel's largest telecommunications companies, as well as with a growing number of MSPs and MSSPs in the United States, Great Britain and Israel.
When considering investments in a startup in the field of cybersecurity, the leadership and the teams behind them are the first elements that we study. The Cynomi team has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity, as well as in solving problems of the often oriented middle market, "said Sergey Gribov, a partner at Flint Capital.[1] |
