Inclusion in the unified register of Russian software

The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation has included the Confidential blockchain platform in the unified register of Russian software. Thus, the blockchain company Web3 Tech expands the possibilities for implementing its platform and solutions based on it as part of import substitution processes. The platform developer announced this on November 22, 2023.

"Confidence" is a completely Russian development, presents a ready-made distributed infrastructure for building information systems and has certification of the cryptographic information protection tool (CIPF) KS2.

The platform also received a functional update - confidential smart contracts. Smart contracts of the platform began to support work with confidential data that cannot be disclosed to some members of the network - for example, to maintain bank secrecy. Now, with the help of an additional protection mechanism - cryptographic commitment, or commitment scheme - the platform ensures the confidentiality of data not only when it is sent to the network, but also directly in smart contracts.

Distributed registers are confidently penetrating into various areas of the economy - the opportunities created by the technology are becoming more understandable in all industries. By creating "Confidence," we focused on the real needs of business and government customers, striving to ensure maximum opportunities while maintaining a low entry threshold. Therefore, the platform demonstrates both significant blockchain functionality and numerous tools that facilitate development, as well as interaction with other systems in general. According to expert estimates Web3 Tech, the blockchain technology market in business and the state in 2023 will amount to 7.5 billion rubles. At the same time, most of this volume is made up of solutions for the financial sector - they account for 5 billion rubles (about 70% of the total market). The main driver of this area is digital financial assets. A total of about 500 million rubles per year will be spent on the development of technology and R&D. More than 1.5 billion rubles. invested in projects related to the public sector. About 500 million rubles were spent on other projects, - said Artem Kalikhov, General Director of Web3 Tech.

Integration of QApp products with the Confident platform

On September 28, 2023, the companies QApp Web3 Tech and announced cooperation in the market. As information security part of this partnership, its participants completed an integration project to test post-quantum encryption QApp-based digital products in Web3 Tech's new Confidential blockchain platform. As part of this project, the first post-quantum Russia blockchain encryption platform appeared.

Every year we are closer to the risk of implementing effective quantum threats, while the power of quantum computers around the world is growing. This project is aimed at developing and piloting quantum-stable and trusted solutions of distributed registers together with leading technological partners of the Russian Federation, "said Anton Google, CEO of QApp.

QApp and Web3 Tech announce cooperation in information security market

As part of the pilot project, a trial integration of the PQLR library, consisting of post-quantum algorithms of domestic implementation, was carried out. From the library developed by QApp, post-quantum algorithms were used in the experimental assembly of the Confidential blockchain platform to: generate key pairs; hashing; electronic signature and its verification. By the end of September 2023, companies are preparing to expand the piloting perimeter and are already conducting an active dialogue with representatives of specialized state and commercial clients.

So-called post-quantum cryptographic algorithms are special mathematical approaches to encrypting information that are built with the capabilities of quantum computers in mind. As their developers hope, these methods for protecting information will be resistant to hacking using the quantum computing systems of the future.

In Russia, such algorithms have been developed for several years by the startup QApp, founded by specialists. Russian Quantum Center (RCC) The approaches they have developed are already being used to protect information in leading Russian ones. banks These algorithms have already been tested for compatibility with computers based on domestic processors Baikal and "," Elbrus notes TASS September 28, 2023.[1]

Launch of the "Confidential" blockchain platform

Web3 Tech announced on September 18, 2023 the official launch of Confidence, a functional blockchain platform for building state and corporate information systems in a distributed and trusted environment.

This platform combines all the current developments of Tech Web3 in the field of blockchain, cryptography, smart contracts and provides a distributed infrastructure ready for the most demanding projects - from a network layer where network nodes interact, to a layer of applications where automated business processes of customers operate.

"Confidence" is a completely Russian development and has KS2 cryptographic information protection (CIPF) certification. The platform undergoes the procedure of inclusion in the register of Russian software, and also complies with all state standards and methodological recommendations relevant for information systems in terms of cryptography, electronic signature, hashing, integrity control and TLS (GOST R 34.10-2012, GOST R 34.11-2012; GOST R 34.12-2015; GOST 28147-89; MR 26.2.001-2013).

The blockchain platform provides the following functionality:

  • Non-economic consensus PoA (Proof-of-Authority) and CFT (Crash Fault Tolerance) as the most suitable for the implementation of business applications;
  • Support for GOST and other cryptographic standards;
  • Development of smart contracts in any programming language, without the need to involve specialized developers;
  • Extensive tools for implementing business logic - SDK for smart contracts and convenient APIs;
  • Platform smart contracts support work with confidential data that cannot be disclosed to some network members - for example, to maintain bank secrecy;
  • Fast integration with ERP, ABS and other corporate information systems;
  • Working with sensitive data, including large ones, within the framework of business logic;
  • Connecting observers to the blockchain network with minimal resources;
  • Compatibility with Russian OCAstra Linux and ALT Linux;
  • Low hardware requirements.

According to a study by the Institute for Statistical Research and Economics of Knowledge (ISIEZ) of the Higher School of Economics, the demand for distributed registry technologies in Russia by 2030 will grow 60 times and reach 1 trillion rubles. According to the same study, blockchain technologies in the world are used to store information, organize efficient and fast electronic document management, significantly increasing the speed of data exchange and transactions, as well as ensuring the security and level of trust in information systems and business processes. So far, they are still niche and in demand primarily in the financial sector (74%), power (12%), healthcare (4%), logistics (2%).
