2024: Agreement with Smolsk State University on the launch of the bachelor's program of two diplomas
HSE Rector Nikita Anisimov, Smolensk Region Governor Vasily Anokhin, Smolsk State University Rector Mikhail Artemenkov signed a trilateral cooperation agreement on June 7, 2024.
As part of this partnership, the parties will launch a network bachelor's program of two diplomas "Applied Mathematics and Computer Science." Applied Mathematics and Computer Science is the flagship undergraduate program at the Faculty of Computer Science of the Higher School of Economics, which annually receives a record number of winners and winners of the All-Russian Olympiads in computer science and mathematics. All training under the program "Applied Mathematics and Computer Science" will be held in Smolensk. HSE teachers will work with students in a hybrid format - in person on the basis of Smolsk State University and remotely through online tools. Key courses will be delivered jointly: lectures will be conducted by teachers of the Federal Research School of Higher School of Economics, and seminars will be held in person by teachers of Smolsk State University using methodological materials from the Higher School of Economics. All teachers of Smolsk State University participating in the program will undergo advanced training from the Higher School of Economics on the methodology of teaching disciplines in computer sciences.
