How a Russian robot helps to capture soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Russian military groups Center used innovative tactics to capture prisoners in the Kurakhovo area, using a robotic platform with loudspeakers to negotiate with the surrounded enemy. This became known in mid-November 2024.
According to Izvestia, a four-wheeled platform equipped with a sound broadcasting system and communication equipment allows operators to conduct real-time dialogue with the enemy at a safe distance.
The highly mobile sound broadcasting station is designed to save lives and allows you to get to hard-to-reach places where another will not reach, - said the operator of the platform with the call sign Yastreb. |
The robot has significant advantages over traditional technology: light weight allows you to overcome minefields, and compact dimensions provide stealth movement and the ability to penetrate into hard-to-reach areas.
According to the publication, the tactics of using the platform include several stages: the initial proposal for delivery via loudspeakers, in case of refusal - artillery impact, then distribution of leaflets and re-circulation through a robotic platform.
After making a decision on surrender, the robot acts as a conductor, accompanying the prisoners to the location of the Russian troops. The system has shown particular effectiveness in urban conditions, where the enemy often uses understaffed territorial defense units as a cover for the withdrawal of the main forces.
In addition to the robotic platform, Russian troops use Uragan MLRS campaign shells. Each such ammunition contains more than 4 thousand leaflets of A5 format and can deliver them over a distance of over 25 kilometers.[2]
