The head of North Ossetia, Sergei Menyailo, spoke about the transition of the region to Russian operating systems and software products as part of the digital transformation of the republic. By the end of 2024, it is planned to commission base stations in the villages of Staraya Saniba and Makhchesk.
Menyailo stressed that over the past three years, telecom operators have carried out large-scale work on the construction of 77 base stations and the modernization of 400 existing ones. However, there are still settlements on the territory of the subject that need high-quality communication. The head of the republic expressed hope for the assistance of federal colleagues in resolving this issue.
As part of the digital transformation of the region, special attention is paid to the transition to domestic operating systems and software products. Work is also underway to create and implement information systems in key sectors of the economy, social sphere and public administration.
