On January 18, 2021, Rostelecom announced the completion of work on the creation of IT infrastructure for the All-Russian Population Census, which is planned to spend a total of 32 billion rubles.
According to the company, in December 2020, deliveries to the territorial state statistics bodies of 360 thousand tablet computers under the control of the Aurora OS were completed. For tablets, mobile applications have been developed - for the scribe and for the controller.
A mapping service is available to the scribe, which allows you to more easily navigate the area. It displays all the buildings where you want to collect information about residents. An electronic census form for data entry is also available. A number of information-gathering functions are automated, which will significantly reduce data processing time. Built-in mechanisms for checking input based on specified logical rules eliminate errors and typos.
In addition, the automated system of the All-Russian Population Census (AS VPN) was modernized and increased in capacity, with the help of which the following processes will be fully digitalized:

Special software for conducting a questionnaire will be installed on tablets, which has not yet been developed: Rosstat, together with the Ministry of Digital Development, are completing the formation of a corresponding competitive task.
