2013

Top Management Team Update

At the end of May 2013, SAP CIS announced a series of appointments in the top management of the Russian office. In particular, two new top managers joined the team : Leonid Altukhov, who had previously worked at IBM for many years, and Andrey Blinov, who has more than ten years of experience working with SAP solutions in senior positions on the client's side.

The first of them was headed by the Strategic Industries department, which includes the banking sector, the public sector and discrete production, and the second - the SAP Active Global Support service, which is responsible for transferring knowledge, standards and best practices to customers.

In addition, SAP CIS divided the direction of capital-intensive industries into two separate departments: Natural Resources (work with clients of the oil and gas, mining and chemical industries) and Trade and Services (work with companies from the fields of trade, housing and communal services, telecommunications and transport). They were headed, respectively, by Azat Nizamov, who previously worked in the company with clients of the oil and gas and mining sector, and Vyacheslav Orekhov, who previously headed the department for work with fast-growing customers of SAP CIS.

Instead of Vyacheslav Orekhov, this department is now headed by Ilya Yuriev, who previously headed the Belarusian office of SAP.

The company also appointed Natalia Parmenova, Executive Director and COO (Chief Operating Officer), who previously led the implementation of the SAP CIS growth strategy plan.

The company notes that personnel changes are associated with the positive dynamics of SAP business development in the region and with the tasks of implementing a growth strategy, the ultimate goal of which is to achieve a turnover of 1 billion euros by 2015.

Vitaly Postolatiy - new CEO

On January 18, 2013, SAP CIS announced the change of CEO. The place of Igor Bogachev was taken by Vitaly Postolaty.

2011: Igor Bogachev replaces Vladislav Martynov

On May 25, 2011, it became known that Vladislav Martynov was leaving SAP CIS (SAP CIS). Igor Bogachev was appointed the new head of the office.

According to Martynov himself, his contract with the world's largest developer of business software was signed in July 2009 and did not provide for a specific date for the expiration of powers. But the top manager decided to leave next week, which he notified the headquarters on May 24. He says he became interested in the opportunity to work as an independent director on the boards of a number of Russian companies:

"I am considering some very interesting proposals, but working in SAP does not allow me to combine the current position with them."

He does not disclose the names of companies, although he notes that he is ready to discuss proposals that will allow combining work on the board of directors outside the company, for example, with the position of the general director.

Martynov's departure came as a surprise to many Russian SAP partners. A week before, Martynov made a presentation at the SAP partnership conference in Germany and nothing foreshadowed his departure, one of them is surprised.

SAP partners interviewed by Vedomosti doubt that the desire to gain experience as an independent director is the main reason for Martynov's departure from SAP[1]. Martynova may not have been satisfied with the restriction of powers, suggests a top manager of one of the companies implementing SAP products. This is a very bureaucratic company with a complex management system, he says; the general director of the Russian office cannot even give instructions to his subordinates - they are waiting for a directive from the headquarters. This version is shared by one of the SAP employees. The other two partners, on the contrary, suggest that Martynov's resignation is the result of rejection of part of his initiatives at SAP headquarters.

"For me, this is very unpleasant news" - this is how the president of the IT holding reacted to the information about Martynov's departure. " LANIT George Gens The general director of the system integrator (IBS a large seller of SAP products) also regrets this: "You Sergey Matsotsky could work with Martynov."

In the understanding of SAP, small and medium-sized enterprises are enterprises with an annual turnover of up to 500 million euros. And for the Russian tax services, this threshold is only 60 million rubles.
