TAdviser IT-PRIZE: the best IT projects

This year, at the seventh TAdviser SummIT 2022 awards ceremony, winners were announced in nine categories:

Government-Business Interaction - Project of the Year

One of the significant areas of interaction between the state and business is to increase the efficiency of communications between companies with the tax service based on modern IT. So, in 2020, a tax monitoring system was launched in the country, designed to radically reduce the tax risks of companies, at the same time reduce document flow and reduce the costs associated with the preparation and exchange of documents with the Federal Tax Service.

In general, the Tax Monitoring platform from VK provides digital interaction of legal entities with government agencies in a single information space, which significantly reduces the duration of communications between Rosselkhozbank and the tax authority.

The integrator of the project was Cinimex, a technology partner at VK, which also completed the task of developing a data mart. This solution allows the bank's employees to carry out additional quality control of the disclosed information and thereby minimize the financial and reputational costs of the financial institution.

It is worth noting that the VK Digital Technologies platform is a product that is integral in terms of functionality. Filling the platform with data is critical to the success of the entire project. Cinimex specialists have completed this integration task with high quality. Further, the bank will be able to independently develop the solution, filling the showcase with new data at its discretion.

Alexey Novikov noted that Rosselkhozbank was the first Russian bank to introduce the VK Digital Technologies platform. The bank in this project had several goals, the main of which was to minimize the volume of contacts with tax authorities and become a more open organization.

Maxim Matrenichev also noted the importance of collective efforts of all project participants: thanks to the well-coordinated work of the combined team, all tasks were completed as soon as possible. Cloud Infrastructure - Project of the Year

The customer of the project is lady & gentleman CITY, the first federal retail chain of fashion and accessories stores in Russia. Over the years of the development of the offline and online business, the company's IT infrastructure has turned into a clumsy monolithic system of many "iron" servers that required constant monitoring, expensive maintenance, and special competencies of personnel. In addition, the retailer has adopted a strategy to scale the business. All these prerequisites led to the fact that it was decided to switch to a microservice architecture in the cloud.

This solution allows you to quickly make changes and not suspend the entire system for this - the cloud provider provides many products as ready-made services, so you can deploy the application in one click. Microservices are also important for organizing the work of other information systems of the company (corporate portal, b2b site). In addition, it was decided to launch the mobile application as a separate full-fledged channel, developing in parallel with the online store. According to the company's estimates, such an application will increase sales, increase audience loyalty and frequency of purchases, as well as expand the company's functionality, for example, when integrating virtual fitting and augmented reality into an application .

IT-PRIZE in the nomination "Cloud Infrastructure - Project of the Year"

The retailer chose SberCloud.Advanced as the cloud platform. From computing and data analytics to application development, this solution provides over 50 services to business customers in the cloud, enabling rapid, qualitative changes in business IT support. Lady & gentleman CITY has connected several services of the SberCloud Advanced platform, spending only 4 months on this, taking into account production (combat environment for the entire site and e-commerce).

For example, the Cloud Container Engine service is used to develop and automatically deploy an online store mobile application based on Kubernetes. The SberCloud Advanced cloud allows you to configure automatic scaling rules and not think about buying servers - the site keeps the load, and then returns to its usual mode of operation. At the same time, the company pays only for the resources that it actually uses (pay as you go model). Before moving to the cloud, all data was stored on a separate "iron" server. The team now uses the cloud service and does not administer it. For this purpose, the Distributed Cache Service for Memcached is used. It stores data on past requests, which allows you to reduce the number of calls to the DaData service and at the same time reduce costs (since each request is charged). This advantage is especially true during promotions, when a surge in the number of orders in the online store is noticeable.

Users have received a convenient tool for finding products on the site. Flexible commodity catalog filters, "under the hood" of which Elasticsearch is located, provide fast filtration speed. The Cloud Search Service was connected quite simply - they installed power and specified a package with ready-made solutions for logging each service. No additional developments were required.

This project is not just a migration of virtual machines. Since at the time of moving to the cloud, the customer was simultaneously completing the transition from monolithic applications to a microservice architecture, he began to use the SberCloud Advanced cloud in the style of the modern concept of "Infrastructure as Code" using cloud services, databases, containers and other managed services.

At the time of the start of the project, the lady & gentleman CITY web development team did not have special resources in the field of database management. In just a few clicks, the professional database management platform PostgreSQL was connected, which is now used to store the catalog of the online store. The solution supports many plugins and data types, provides fast processing of information with high reliability.

The Distributed Message Service for Kafka tool allows you to respond to events that occur in other services. For example, the "user registered" event is automatically sent to the Retail Rocket subscription service, then 1C (a new buyer is recorded) responds to this event, and then analytical and CRM systems. FunctionGraph is used to quickly run code in a serverless environment. It is enough to write a small piece of code, and you can immediately run it for execution.

As a result of the project, the company received:

• Simple IT administration processes and transparent resource management
• minimum costs for support of services;
• rapid scaling to multiple points;
• stable operation and high performance of services.

Now only two specialists are enough to manage all processes. The speed of delivery of business applications to production has doubled. And for users, the speed of the online store has increased significantly. Thus, in just 4 months, the company was able to radically rebuild its work by transferring the IT infrastructure to the cloud, and continues to connect the provider's cloud solutions to achieve new KPIs. Domestic BPM Solution of the Year

The winner in this nomination was the domestic BPM-solution Sunrise of BIA Technologies. A distinctive feature of this business process management system, which is included in the Register of domestic software, is that it is built on the basis of 1C. The result of such integration is the ability to effectively manage business processes in the context of frequent changes, achieved, in particular, by coordinating the work of employees and information systems.

Sunrise BPM is easily embedded in the IT landscape of any company that already has any 1C solution configuration. The average implementation time of the system is only 3-4 months.

As a result of the implementation of Sunrise BPM, the efficiency of communications within the customer's organization has increased significantly. The leading solution in this nomination was the eXpress messenger, created by Unlimited Production, specifically to provide secure corporate communications - both with business partners and with external users. One of the largest customers of the corporate messenger eXpress in 2021 was the state corporation Rosatom.

The messenger supports iOS and Android operating systems. It also has a web version. The product implements a comprehensive encryption mechanism. To ensure increased security, at each stage of sending messages, meta-data is additionally encrypted in an asymmetric way. In addition to classic messaging capabilities, the solution includes features such as document exchange, voice calls, and a platform for enterprise bot development.

The winner was an IT project implemented in one of the largest retail chains in Russia - X5 Group. The first single service for registering and managing the customer base in retail has been created there. Today, the X5 ID service, created entirely on domestic software, already has 16.5 million users, and this number is constantly growing.

The X5 ID service is responsible for the work of users with digital products of the X5 Group (there are already more than 16 of them), and also makes this work convenient for consumers and transparent for analytics. Thanks to this implementation, the company managed not only to solve a number of current technical tasks of user identification, but also to provide the opportunity to offer consumers exactly what they are looking for, no matter what X5 service they use.
