2022: Purchase of carrier Antenna Hungaria
At the end of February 2022, the Hungarian 4iG announced a merger agreement with Antenna Hungaria. The national telecommunications group formed as a result of this transaction will become the second largest player in the Hungarian telecommunications market. According to the press release, the joint group will have a wide infrastructure and portfolio of services in the business and retail services segments in the Central and Eastern Europe region. Purchase of Albanian telecom operator ONE Telecommunications
At the end of December 2021, the Hungarian ICT company 4iG the purchase of ONE Telecommunications. The amount of the transaction is not disclosed, but the event followed shortly after 4iG agreed to purchase a controlling stake in another Albanian telecom operator, Albtelecom. The transaction is expected to close after receiving regulatory approval in Albania. More details here.
Purchase of Digi Tavkozlesi Szolgaltat for €625 million
On November 30, 2021, Romanian pay television operator Digi signed a final agreement to sell its division in Hungary to 4iG. The telecom operator sold is the second largest in the country. The transaction value is €625 million. More details here.
