The Aastra company develops and delivers the innovative and integrated solutions for small and large business, and offers a broad spectrum of modern traditional and advanced IP solutions, network products, different terminals, systems and applications which, in turn, provide reliable and effective corporate communications to customers of the company.
According to analysts of Canalys, in the middle of 2011 Aastra took the second place in Western Europe in the market of office automatic telephone exchanges, conceding to Siemens Enterprise Communications and advancing Alcatel-Lucent, and entered the five of the leading vendors in the countries of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The sales volume of the company was 720 million dollars in 2011.
History
2008
In February, 2008, the Aastra company signed the global agreement with Ericsson company about acquisition of division of Ericsson Enterprise Communications which was engaged in development and promotion of such known corporate communication frameworks as BusinessPhone, MD110/MX-ONE and also applications for contact centers of Solidus eCare.
In May, 2008 the representative office of Aastra in Russia and the CIS countries which primary activity is promotion of products and solutions of Aastra company, development of a partner network, implementation and localization of solutions and also technical support of partners and Customers of the company was formed.
2012
The producer of network equipment Aastra Technologies during the first half of the year 2012 will bring to the Russian market a product for medium and small business based on cloud computing that is a part of strategy of the company on active development of cloud-services in the IP telephony.
In Aastra in 2012 the cloud version of program switch MX One for large corporate clients should be released. (Siemens Enterprise Communications already conducts active negotiations on placement of the OpenScape Voice switch in data processing centers of the leading Russian integrators.)
2011
In 2011 in a portfolio of offers of Aastra there was an Aastra 400 platform created on the basis of the PBX of IntelliGate. It is intended for the small organizations and supports from 4 to 256 users. This platform focused on services of the joint communications allows to provide access to different services by means of the single user interface, supports such technologies as VoIP, SIP, XML, gives an opportunity to organize wireless jobs at offices and beyond their limits. Are three communication servers with the uniform full-function software providing everything to a possibility of the distributed telephony and also convergence of IP solutions with traditional analog or digital telephone communication a part of Aastra 400; servers are capable to use for interaction with public telephone networks analog, ISDN-and SIP communications.
