2019: Restructuring of the partner scheme

Restructuring of Mitel — transition from the existing business model on two-level. The company works through partners with the different statuses and function models. Within transformation Mitel is going to book until the end of March, 2019 audit and certification of orchestra seats within the new affiliate program. It is expected that the number of bonus partners will double.

Sergey Razmakhayev, the area director on sales of Mitel tells about new model: "Separation of examination when implementing projects on distributors and partners is supposed. A task of the distributor — to organize effective and operational channel of delivery of solutions Mitel to the country using financial and operational leverages. A task of partners and system integrators — development of examination in different areas of corporate communication, contact centers, software products of the company and cloud solutions for promotion in the Russian market together with the local Mitel command".

Besides, the company is going to create in Russia professional division of Mitel for support of the current projects and partners. Staff at the initial stage — more than ten people with specialization as in the main platforms of the company, such, as MX-ONE, peripheral devices and phones, contact centers, cloud solutions of Mitel and potential Russian technology orchestra seats.

2011: Representation in Russia

The Mitel company has a partner network in many countries of the world. In March, 2011 for the purpose of expansion of presence in the world and strengthening of positions in EMEA region the Mitel company opened representation in Russia.

The representative office in Moscow has the license for distribution and service of solutions of the business communications and joint work entering a line of solutions of Mitel and also solutions of the companies entering into Wesley Clover International Corporation group in the territory of Russia and adjacent territories, including the CIS countries, the Baltic, Georgia and Turkmenistan. The office of representation has rights to sell and provide support of solutions of Mitel in the markets of the above-stated countries.

History

2017: ShoreTel purchase

In July, 2017 it was announced ShoreTel sale. The American producer of the systems of corporate telephony the Mitel company at which several months the transaction on acquisition of the competitor of ShoreTel — Polycom broke earlier buys. Read more here.

2016: Unsuccessful attempt of purchase of Polycom

On April 15, 2016 the Canadian producer of the telecommunication solutions Mitel Networks announced the offer of purchase of Polycom almost for $2 billion. The well-known activist investor of Elliott Management pushed to this company merger. Under the terms of the agreement, Mitel will pay to shareholders of Polycom $3.12 cash and the actions in number of 1.31 pieces for each security belonging to them.
