2022: Transformation into the Gorodetsky municipal district of the Nizhny Novgorod region

In accordance with the Law of the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated May 4, 2022 No. 48-Z "On the Transformation of Municipalities of the Gorodetsky Municipal District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region," municipalities: urban settlements of the city of Gorodets, the city of Zavolzhye, the working village of Pervomaisky, rural settlements of the Brilyakovsky village council, Zinyakovsky Village Council, Kovriginsky Village Council, Kumokhinsky Village Council, Nikolo-Pogostinsky Village Council, Smirkinsky Village Council, Smolkovsky village council, Timiryazevsky village council, Fedurinsky village council of the Gorodetsky municipal district of the Nizhny Novgorod region were transformed by combining them into a newly formed municipality with the consent of the population, expressed by the representative bodies of the relevant settlements and the Gorodetsky municipal district of the Nizhny Novgorod region with the granting of the newly formed municipality the status of a municipal district with the name - Gorodetsky municipal district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Until December 31, 2022, a transitional period is established. During the transition period, the formation of local governments of the Gorodetsky municipal district of the Nizhny Novgorod region is carried out.
