Administration of the Ascension Municipal District

The administration of the Ascension Municipal District is an executive and administrative body endowed with powers to resolve issues of local importance and powers to exercise certain state powers transferred to local self-government bodies by federal laws and laws of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

History

2022: Transformation into Ascension Municipal District

In accordance with the Law of the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated May 4, 2022 No. 44-Z "On the Transformation of Municipalities of the Voznesensky Municipal District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" municipalities - urban settlement working village Voznesenskoye, rural settlements Bakhtyzinsky village council, Blagodatovsky Village Council, Butakovsky Village Council, Kriushinsky Village Council, Motyzleisky Village Council, Naryshkinsky Village Council, The Polkhov-Maidan Village Council, the Sarminsky Village Council of the Voznesensky Municipal District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region were transformed by combining them into a newly formed municipality with the consent of the population, expressed by the representative bodies of the relevant settlements and the Voznesensky municipal district of the Nizhny Novgorod region with the granting of the newly formed municipality the status of a municipal district with the name - Voznesensky municipal district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Until December 31, 2022, a transitional period is established. During the transition period, the formation of local governments of the Voznesensky municipal district of the Nizhny Novgorod region is carried out.
