Sony acquired Bluepoint Games

Although Bluepoint is known as a master of remodeling old favorite games her latest project, will be an ambitious original game. According to Sony Interactive Entertainment, since its appearance on the market in November 2020, more than 10 million PlayStation 5 consoles (PS5) have been sold out worldwide.

In August 2021, the PS5 remained the fastest-selling console PlayStation in the history of the company, according to the marketing agency NPD Group. Sony is under pressure to release new games, while games are delayed due to the pandemic. Since the beginning of May 2021, Sony has replenished its staff of gaming studios, having bought the Finnish developer Housemarque in June 2021, and the British company Firesprite in September 2021.

Own studios allow PlayStation to release games exclusively for Sony consoles, restraining Xbox competitors from Microsoft, which has its own studio. According to the specialized website VGChartz, by the end of August 2021, almost 12 million PS5 consoles were sold, compared with 7.3 million Xbox consoles of the latest generation.[1]
