2023: FSO will receive 1.1 billion rubles to create a center for monitoring cybersecurity of authorities
On March 3, 2023, it became known that the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation would create a Center for Monitoring Information Security of Systems of Special Information and Technological Support of Higher State Authorities. 1.1 billion rubles are allocated for the implementation of the project for the period 2021-2024.
As CNews writes with reference to the federal project "Information Security" of the national program "Digital Economy," as a result of the creation of the center, the average time for eliminating information security incidents in these types of systems will be reduced from 72 to 6 hours. The press service of the FSO did not comment on the publication information about the creation of the Center for Monitoring Information Security of Systems of Special Information and Technological Support of Higher Government Bodies and only noted that it refers to information of limited distribution.
According to Vladimir Ulyanov, head of the Zecurion analytical center, the elimination of cyber incidents in three days cannot be called an acceptable period.
Imagine that some information system stops work for three days. And if others are associated with the work of this system? In this case, the work of many institutions can be difficult or even paralyzed. As a result - a bunch of negative consequences and large financial losses. In turn, the planned period for eliminating incidents - 6 hours - is already a good result, in fact, eliminating the problem during the working day, "he said in a conversation with CNews. |
The publication recalls that the direct provision of the function in the field of special communications as part of the FSO is carried out by the service of special communications and information, the management of special communications and information of the FSO in federal districts, centers of special communications and information, as well as special communications units.[1]
