Religious Organization "Educational Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church"

In accordance with the current Charter on the management of the Russian Orthodox Church, it is a department under the Holy Synod, designed to exercise general leadership and coordinate the activities of theological schools, provide them with methodological assistance, as well as perform administrative functions with the ruling bishops (participation in the appointment of the leadership of theological schools, control over the educational process, distribution of graduates, etc.).

Under the committee, a group is constantly operating to develop a new concept of education. Over the past 10 years, the committee has held rectory meetings, seminars of teachers of theological schools in individual disciplines, and cooperates with secular institutions and organizations.
