At the end of 2016 the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) became the only owner of Spas TV channel. Its share in structure of an asset is increased from 51% to 100% after the list of founders left Spas media LLC which possessed 49% of a share, Kommersant writes.
"Now reforming of the channel begins. We are in process of problem solving, connected with the future of the channel, including we have a constructive dialogue with RTRS", - the press secretary of the patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill priest Alexander Volkov reported.
According to the CEO of TV channel Boris Kostenko, from among founders of "Saviour" there were its founders who from 2005 to 2010 financed the project then it turned into maintaining ROC.
The channel conducts negotiations with RTRS on debt repayment. "Saviour" is a part of the second multiplex, extending on the 12th button. As well as to other broadcasters, it is necessary to pay it 150 million rubles annually for distribution, however in 2015 its revenue made only 17.87 million at losses in 1.223 million.
