2020: Start of fund and attraction of $100 million for it

On June 18, 2020 Grishin Robotics announced creation of new fund to which $100 million from institutional and private investors from the USA and Europe were attracted. Who exactly invested in the project, is not specified. It is known that the cofounder of Mail.ru Group Dmitry Grishin (the owner of Grishin Robotics) invested in the new fund which received the name Grishin Robotics Fund II.

We  want to continue to support entrepreneurs who develop new technologies for the end user. We  develop own ecosystem which helps young entrepreneurs  to start and scale the business  and also to become a part of global community — Grishin said.

Grishin Robotics attracted $100 million

According to him, the Grishin Robotics fund increases examination, and new spheres will allow to understand better trends in the market. For example, for investments into robots suppliers of food it is necessary to be guided in the delivery market in general, for educational robots — in online education, the entrepreneur emphasized.

Grishin Robotics Fund II already invested in the Canadian company Ziva Dynamics which technologies were used during creation 3D - characters in series "Game of Thrones" and movies "Captain Marvel" and "John Wyk". The new fund will also be focused on projects in the field of online games and entertainments, fudtekh and also on services of personal and command productivity, online education and fitness.

The Grishin Robotics fund specializes in investments robotics and technologies of Internet of Things. The new fund is going to use investments into startups, zanimayushchiyeysya development of robots in sheaves with new technologies.

Grishin Robotics will continue to invest at early stages (Seed and Series A) in the companies from North America. Investment volume will be $3-5 million^[1]
