2024: VimpelCom increased its stake in Kubintervyaz to 95.5%
In April 2024, VimpelCom increased its stake in the Krasnodar telecommunications company Kubintersvyaz by 13.3%, having bought back shares from the Main Information and Computing Center of Moscow JSC (GIVC of Moscow JSC), which belonged to Alfa Bank.
As a result of the transaction, VimpelCom's share in PJSC Kubintersvyaz increased from 82.2% to 95.5%, and JSC GIVC of Moscow completely withdrew from the capital of the Krasnodar fixed-line operator, Interfax reports citing materials published on the information disclosure website.
The news agency recalls that back in January 2024, VimpelCom announced an offer to buy back Kubintersvyaz shares from minority shareholders at a price of 1804 rubles per share. Based on this, VimpelCom paid about 127.6 million rubles for a 13.3% stake in Kubintersvyaz, of which 124.7 million rubles were paid to the Alfa Bank structure. VimpelCom itself did not comment on the terms of the deal.
