The VimpelCom development strategy in terms of IT competencies is aimed at using products and solutions of its own design. VK-IT has a full range of competencies for this and in 2022 was concentrated on the formation of a software development and support center for the widest possible range of beeline tasks. Expanding the list of products under development, the range of work performed and the corresponding increase in the number of teams and specialists became the main drivers of VK-IT revenue growth last year, "Sergey Khorkov, general director of VK-IT, told TAdviser.

Sergey Khorkov explained to TAdviser that the presence of receivables is a feature of financial accounting.

In 2021, the announcement of the creation of VK-IT said that the company would develop IT products not only for the beeline, but also for other Veon group companies[1]

Veon, we recall, at the end of 2022, agreed to sell VimpelCom to the Russian top management of the company.

The CEO of VK-IT says that access to the foreign market with the company's products is being considered, but so far this is not a priority.

VK-IT will develop technological products for VimpelCom and Veon holding, including software, which the company will also implement. In addition, the "daughter" of the telecom operator will be engaged in the operation of software, support its work and add new functions.

VK-IT will take over both the development of new and the development of existing IT products previously created by outsourcing companies commissioned by VymelCom. In particular, we are talking about infrastructure platforms, mobile applications and user interfaces. The company plans to develop competencies in all major technology stacks.
