2024: Yandex bought LeClick
On October 4, 2024, Yandex announced the purchase of the LeClick service and specialized software for SmartReserve hostesses. Based on them, Yandex Food will launch the function of online reservation of tables in restaurants.
LeClick provides a system to automate the online booking process, allowing restaurants to assemble a base of guests, work with their loyalty and implement lounge boarding controls. The company's products include the LeClick reserve e-book, the SmartReserve CRM system, the institution's online table booking platform through the leclick.ru website and mobile applications. Guests are offered convenient online services for selecting and booking tables in real time.
It is reported that as part of the deal, the services will be transferred to the Yandex infrastructure, and their teams will focus on the development of a specialized restaurant solution. With its help, institutions will be able not only to manage bookings, but also to get to know their audience closer - in order to better understand how to expand and retain it.
Reservation of tables will appear in the Yandex Food application: the function will become available in the "Where to go" section. Thus, in Yandex Eda it will be possible to completely plan a trip to a restaurant: choose an institution using filters and recommendations, reserve a table in it and build a route. LeClick partner restaurants already working with the SmartReserve system will be the first to receive table reserves from Yandex Food. Establishments that have not used these services before can connect to them. For restaurants, including those that do not work for delivery, Yandex Food will become a new source of bookings. As of October 2024, the service operates in more than 400 cities of the country, and its monthly audience is about 20 million users.[1]
