2016: Wojciech Makh heads office in Poland

Poland is known for a large number of highly skilled IT engineers with good level of proficiency in foreign languages and also the strategically profitable location of rather large European cities and economic stability of the region. The office Luxoft in Poland is headed by Wojciech Mach.

2015: Subsidies from the Polish government

On November 11, 2015 it became known that the authorities of Poland will provide Luxoft of a subsidy for a staff increase of the company in the country. Write Vedomosti with reference to materials of the Russian developer of custom software about it.

Follows from them that the Polish agency on the foreign investments which is engaged in fund raising to the country promised to grant till 2020 to Luxoft subsidies for each workplace. By the end of September, 2015 the staff of the company in Poland exceeded 1200 people whereas the previous year number of staff was measured 600 employees. The share of the Luxoft programmers in the country for this period raised up to 15.5% from 5.5%.

According to the vice president of Luxoft Alina Playi, in five years the company will receive from Poland subsidies in the amount of several million dollars. The exact amount is not opened as the Polish authorities did not make official statements about it yet, madam Playa noted.

The number of employees in Krakow and Wroclaw grows in offices Luxoft both at the expense of the new staff of the company, and at the expense of moved from other countries. The vendor continues implementation of the Global Upgrade program announced at the end of May, 2014 assuming dispersion of the state on regions and decrease in operational and macroeconomic risks.

As of the end of September, 2015 in Luxoft 10,058 people from whom 22.5% and 35.4% are the share of Russia and Ukraine respectively work. 15.1% of staff of the company represent the Romanian office.^[1]

2013: Opening of the center in Wroclaw

On January 22, 2013 the IBS group announced expansion of global presence and opening of the second development center under the Luxoft brand in Poland. The new development center located in the city of Wroclaw became the 19th office Luxoft in the world. It renders a full range of services in the development area of the custom software for large enterprises and developer companies. The center specializes mainly in creation of technological solutions in bank and financial spheres.

For the next year in new office in Wroclaw the company was going to employ 100 engineers. The company management predicted a personnel increase in Poland to 750 specialists in the next two years.

2010: Opening of the center in Krakow, Przhemislaw Berendt is the head of office

The center in Krakow is open in October, 2010, specializes in creation of solutions in the field of tourism, the automobile and financial industry, will offer the clients – large enterprises and developer companies – a full range of services in application development and IT products.

The office in Poland became an additional node of a global network of Luxoft development centers. Its activity is aimed at development of the basic principles of the company – innovation, flexibility and development high-quality maintenance. Poland is selected by the place where the new development center owing to several reasons is created: the first that became defining, this presence of highly skilled IT specialists with knowledge of foreign languages. The close arrangement of Poland to the main European towns and the third, stable national economy became the second reason.

The Polish office Luxoft was headed by Przemyslaw Berendt.
