History

2022: Entering the Turkish market

Taxi ordering service Maxim entered the Turkish market and has already made it possible to order a trip to Istanbul. Maxim announced this on March 18, 2022. The launch of the service application in Istanbul allowed Russian citizens to use the usual and understandable service in Turkey, which freed users from problems with finding a car, saved them from language barriers in communicating with taxi drivers. In the Maxim application, you need to change the country and choose a city. Regardless of the country selected, the application is available in Russian.

It was decided not to include it in the cities covered by the Maxim service, and in the remaining 85 cities - to stop advertising and remove references from the company's website.

Gradually, the number of SMS orders in cities decreased. Service employees phoned lovers of this method and told how else to call a taxi. Then the function was disabled. At the beginning of 2020, out of 500 cities of service presence, only 13 remained where the SMS order was valid: Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk, Tyumen, Kemerovo, Yaroslavl, Kurgan, Barnaul, Tula, Biysk, Vladivostok, Magnitogorsk, Khabarovsk, Irkutsk. Apple demanded in April 2018 that the Russian travel service Maxim remove its application from the AppStore.
