The government of the Trans-Baikal Territory announced the search for a candidate for the post of Minister of Housing and Communal Services, power, Digitalization and Communications. This became known in July 2024. The vacancy with a salary of 250,000 rubles was posted on the official website of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation.

According to "News of Transbaikalia," the future minister, in addition to high wages, is promised compensation for living expenses. A candidate for the post of minister must have a higher education at least below the level of a specialist or master's degree in specialized specialties, civil service or work experience in a specialty of at least 4 years, as well as at least 3 years of experience in senior positions.

The search for a new head of the department is associated with the possible resignation of the current minister Alexander Sinkevich. According to Chita.Ru, two sources reported on the upcoming resignation of Sinkevich due to personal reasons. There has been no official confirmation or refutation of this information yet.

According to one of the sources, the resignation has already been agreed with the governor, and it will be announced in the coming days. It is likely that Sinkevich will return to the leadership of the Uletovsky district.

Alexander Sinkevich took over as Minister of Housing and Communal Services, power, Digitalization and Communications of the Trans-Baikal Territory in May 2024, replacing Alexei Golovinkin in this position, who left his post in October 2023.
