CEO of the company: Our investors do not care about pressure, we continue to work in Russia
The CEO of Mondelez in February 2024 said that investors "morally do not care" that the group will sell its work in Russia.
The confectionery group has not faced shareholder pressure to leave the country entirely. Mondelez's biggest shareholders include Vanguard, BlackRock and Capital Group. All three declined to comment.
"If you have an important Russian business, the blow to the company will be huge, and this is another topic for discussion."
Appointment of Alexei Blinov as Head of the Russian Representative Office
In February 2024, it became known about the appointment of Alexei Blinov as the new head of the Russian representative office of Mondelez (produces confectionery under the brands Oreo, Alpen Gold, Milka, Toblerone, Yubileynoye). Company filings and market data obtained by Bloomberg show that by some measures, Mondelez's presence is indeed growing.
