2023: Buying a 7.3% stake in the company by an American fund

On April 7, 2023, it became known that the American fund First Trust Capital Solutions acquired a stake in Quadro Acquisition One (Quadro-I), created by the former head of MegaFon Ivan Tavrin.

In early 2021, Kismet-I was absorbed into the Cypriot mobile game developer Nexters with Russian roots. Kismet-II and Kismet-III also considered opportunities for a merger with Russian companies operating in the telecommunications sector in particular. But due to the current geopolitical situation, these firms, as noted by CNews, abandoned business development in Russia and began to search for partners for mergers in the markets of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. At the same time, Tavrin sold his stake in Kismet-II to Quadro Sponsor, after which the structure was called Quadro Acquisition One.

As part of the transaction, First Trust Capital Solutions, registered in the US state of Delaware, became the owner of a 7.3% stake in Quadro Acquisition One: the value of this package is $22.4 million. In addition, shares in Quadro Acquisition One are owned by the American fund Glazer Capital and the Japanese investment Nomura Holding - 7.7% and 4.4%, respectively.[1]
