History and performance indicators
2018: Patent for i-technology of super-compression of the multimedia information
- SPIRIT presented the corporate mobile TeamSpirit IM messenger at the MWC2018 exhibition in Barcelona
- MTS and MEDSI start services of digital medicine based on the communication product VideoMost SDK
The Russian company Spirit in May, 2018 announced that it took out the patent for i-technology of super-compression of the multimedia information (video, audio, and voice signals) large volume for storage in the storage systems (SS) and/or its transfers on communication channels based on selection of its valuable part.
The patented i-technology allows to save significantly resources on storage and data transmission, to lower requirements to infrastructure of DWH, DPC and data transmission systems, but also to increase efficiency of the analysis and efficiency of decision making.
The method and the device for the patented method of compression of the multimedia information and search of interest objects in it are based on the concept of usefulness/informative value for the person, making the decision (P,MD). According to the set criteria classification of a media stream is made (a valuable part / information noise), in a video flow the key personnel (scenes) is selected, a key word and expressions in voice signals (KWS) are defined or, if necessary, the speech is transformed to the text (STT) or coded by special Voice Storage Codec'om, acoustic events in an audio-part are detected, relevant information is condensed and located in summary form in memory of DWH. Selection of key information and object search for interest require intellectual processing of video, speech and audio of flows and use of methods of search and recognition of relevant objects in the specified flows.
The compact nature of storage of key information defines at its reproduction and the subsequent analysis of the decision-maker specifics of demultiplexing, decoding and synchronization of subflows of video, speech and audio.
Can be potential consumers of i-of technology:
- Telecom operators;
- Organizers of dissemination of information on the Internet;
- Storage systems and Data processing centers;
- Situational centers;
- Developers and suppliers of services of security;
- The vendors specializing in record of negotiations and VKS and also video surveillance;
- Developers and system providers of backup;
- The organizations performing services in fight against crime and terrorism;
- others.
This i-technology can promote faster promotion of the concept, methods and solutions for providing conditions of applications of the anti-terrorist Yarovaya Law and solution of related tasks. And considering that the Yarovaya Law becomes effective this year, the relevance of application of this method of intellectual processing of the multimedia information (diagrams, images, video, the speech, audio, the text) only increases as solves the main objectives at considerable reduction of requirements to infrastructure, economy of financial resources of operators, increase in efficiency of analytics on the basis of the analysis only of a valuable part of information and efficiency at decision making.
2014-2016
Leadership in the rating of VKS developers in Russia
According to the rating of TAdviser VIDEOCONFERENCING Russia the companies Polycom, Cisco and Russian VideoMost from SPIRIT became the most effective producers of systems for in 2016.

2012: 1 billion users of VoIP-products
- The SPIRIT Navigation company, one of residents of SKOLKOVO FOUNDATION, begins the project on development of systems of navigation in premises
In September, 2012 the president of SPIRIT Andrey Sviridenko said that the total number of users of the program engine of the company for voice transmission and video exceeded 1 billion people. Calculations of the company are based on quarterly royalty reports of clients and open data. It is about the TeamSpirit engine which is built in the equipment and software of the known companies.
"The number of users of software products of SPIRIT are more, than number of VoIP-users of Skype, Google, or Microsoft which are also developers of own VoIP-products and engines", - Sviridenko[1] says[1].
The considerable share of this one billion is made by users of devices of Apple. In case of this supplier number of the Russians using development for voice transmission and listening of music of Sviridenko, referring to data of the vendor, estimated at 400 million people.
It is even more clients, than through popular mobile phone manufacturer and tablet computers, SPIRIT received from cooperation with the Chinese telecom operator. At the China Mobile Feiliao softphone working on the Russian engine, the number of users reaches 500 million people. "Intersections are, but not big, - Sviridenko considers. - Very small number Chinese users has expensive iPhone. In total at calculation we put more than 200 million users on such intersections".
Also large customer of SPIRIT in Asia is Huawei in which 100 million devices for voice transmission and video TeamSpirit is installed. In addition to the listed customers a number of the companies, for example, AT&T for web conferences, Adobe for Connect and Flash, Blizzard for the game World of Warcraft, etc. uses it.
As for main competitors, Google in 2010 purchased the American VoIP-company GIPS. For September, 2012 the user base of this giant, brings Sviridenko open data, makes about 425 million for Gmail and only 10 million for Voice and Talk services. Besides AOL, Yahoo, ICQ, Mail.ru in the IM and also Webex use the voice engine of Google (including the GIPS engine on the basis of old licenses) that in the amount makes about 300 million users, Sviridenko says.
Microsoft which purchased Skype has 250 million active users of this service. In addition as much again people MSN Messenger and 3 million more Lync use. At the same time Microsoft acts as the client of SPIRIT in the field of a konferensing, and Skype – in the field of video. As the Russian competitor regarding software for a video conferencing (VIDEOCONFERENCING) the TrueConf company acts.
Sviridenko notes that now in the world there is no uniform VoIP-standard: "Microsoft supported the W3C RTC-web protocol incompatible with Google, Skype and Lync engines are still incompatible, products of Apple are also incompatible with solutions of Microsoft and Google".
"the equipment we do not intend to make VKS yet, - CNews says to Sviridenko about business development. - We will not do own softphone too, it is not our niche, and the product of Video conference is focused on corporate and state clients. Our task in 2012 and 2013 to make ours soft-VKS the standard de facto in Russia in partnership about Rostelecom, other telecom operators, and system integrators".
2011: Release of VideoMost and contract with the Russian Railway for creation of STs
- The contract with the Russian Railway for creation of the all-Russian Situational Center (SC) is signed
- Release of VideoMost, the software product for HD of video conferences based on SPIRIT DSP copper engine

In 2010 she grew up more than twice at the expense of VideoMost, software developer for a video conferencing. That to increase the share of the Russian customers was led that except the built-in software of Spirit was engaged also in applied, the president of the company Andrey Sviridenko says.
