2017: Teradata purchased StackIQ
The Teradata corporation announced on July 18, 2017 acquisition of StackIQ, developer company of the platform of selection of resources without the preset operating system. Terms of agreement about acquisition do not reveal. It is expected that the transaction will allow Teradata to make use of experience and knowledge of StackIQ in the field of software open source and preparation of large clusters for simplification and automation of implementation of Teradata Everywhere.
In addition to technologies, the transaction also assumes acquisition of a team of engineers of StackIQ company who will join a team of experts on Teradata research and development that, finally, will allow to accelerate process of automation of implementation of software products in a working environment, engineering ecosystems and ecosystems of end users.
Inclusion of StackIQ technology in services IntelliFlex, IntelliBase IntelliCloud will also expand our opportunities and will allow us to look in a new way at process of deployment of systems and management of them — Oliver Ratzesberger, the executive vice president and the development director of products of Teradata company commented on an event. |
Under the terms of the transaction, Teradata purchases the results of intellectual activity of StackIQ company allowing to automate and accelerate implementation of software products in large server clusters (both physical, and virtual a cloud). As the result, higher level of automation will become available to all options of application deployment Teradata Everywhere that will allow to reduce, in turn, terms of configuration and delivery of difficult solutions of a business intelligence and will give an ability to manage purely program systems for all infrastructure of a hybrid cloud, emphasized in the company.
High-speed performance of new integrated solution of Teradata provides operational reconfiguring of the equipment for internal testing or contrastive analysis and also operational transition from one technology to another for satisfaction of the changing customer requirements to workloads.
We hope to introduce in Teradata a part of culture a startup company from San Diego and to work jointly for the purpose of simplification of processes of implementation and updating of the system software for clients of Teradata — Tim McIntire, the cofounder of StackIQ company noted. |
2006: Foundation of the company
The StackIQ company is founded in 2006 by specialists of the Supercomputer[1]. The company is based in the city Solana Scourge, the State of California, the USA.
During the existence StackIQ was succeeded to collect more than $10 million investments.
