2020: X5 Retail Group and Sovcombank divided the postamatny Halvah project and ceased to cooperate
On October 12, 2020 it became known of the solution X5 Retail Group and Sovcombank to stop cooperation on network of Halvah automatic post offices: the bank will be is taken by operating company and the software, and the retailer will reserve a part of automatic post offices.
The joint venture — TsTB LLC — was created for management of the automated points of issue of Internet purchases under the Halvah brand. The Sovcombank addressed to Federal Antimonopoly Service with the petition for acquisition of 50% of "TsTB" belonging to X5 Retail Group. Financial terms of transaction do not reveal.
By October 12, 2020 the joint venture manages network of 3000 pochtomat under the Halvah brand from which 1400 are located in shops of X5 group. Halvah automatic post offices are placed in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Kazan and other large cities.
According to the first deputy chairman of the board of Sovcombank Sergey Hotimsky, full control of bank over an operating company of network of automatic post offices will allow it to develop even quicker and to go beyond X5 network, having begun work with other largest Russian retailers.
The present transaction says that tasks of joint venture are carried out, and we with partners achieved the goals. We see a positive customer feedback on pochtomata Halvah and the growing demand for this service. The Sovcombank is interested in the project, we will continue to develop the concept of pochtomat at the house with multikuryerny access for our partner logisticians — he emphasized. |
After closing of the transaction the operating company will manage network of 2000 automatic post offices under the Halvah brand and will save presence at a part of locations of X5. Project 5Post developed by X5 Retail Group will receive 1112 TsTB automatic post offices and will continue to develop them under the brand based on X5 logistics.[1]
