Biography

From 2006 to 2011, she headed the Russian office of the Polish media company ITI Group, where under her leadership the first Polish-language film channel Woina I Pokoj was launched.

From 2012 to 2016, she was the sales director of The Walt Disney CIS and was responsible for transactions with VOD in Russia and in the countries of the former USSR.

From 2016 to 2018, she served as director of content for the Evie video service.

From 2018 to 2020, she worked as general online movie theater Okko producer and director of to content the Rambler group of companies.

From 2020 to 2021, she was the director of the communications directorate of the Gazprom-Media holding.

2023: Chairman of the Board of Directors of MTS Media

The MTS digital ecosystem on October 6, 2023 announced the election of Sofia Mitrofanova to the post of Chairman of the Board of Directors of MTS Media. Sofya Mitrofanova joined the board of directors as an independent member.

The Board of Directors also includes three independent directors: Sergey Titinkov, Alexander Plotnikov, Elena Balmont.

In less than three years of operation, the flagship product of MTS Media, an online cinema, KION has taken a confident position among domestic streaming platforms, only continuing to increase industrial and audience recognition.
