In a product family of EMC Connectrix the possibility of support of technology of switching of the Fibre Channel of 16 gigabits per second (Gbps) is implemented. Using the EMC Connectrix switches in which technologies of Brocade company are used customers can construct the solution Fibre Channel providing scalability, high performance and simplicity of operation which are required for creation of the virtualized private cloud. Doubling the bandwidth available today, the 16-igabitny solutions EMC Connectrix will significantly accelerate transition of customers to cloud computing.

For creation of the virtualized data processing centers and private clouds it is necessary to implement a data network. The solution portfolio of EMC Connectrix is specially developed for the virtualized and cloud infrastructures and uses such technologies as the Fibre Channel checked in practice, along with perspective technology of a data network based on standard Ethernet. These products are created on the basis of new generation of FC-PI-5 of the industry standard of the Fibre Channel providing performance of 16 Gbps that twice exceeds performance of those solutions which Brocade of the first brought to the market in 2008.

During an era of large volumes of data, increases in requirements to the level of services and limited budgets on IT customers are delivered before need to select those less expensive and less difficult solutions which will bring the maximum benefit to business and will allow to receive more return from information. Using the new Connectrix switches customers will be able to improve as much as possible work of the data processing centers – to increase the level of virtualization of resources, to cut down expenses, to increase overall effectiveness and to protect the investments into infrastructure of SAN.

The joint product EMC Connectrix VDX-6740B is released

On February 19, 2015 the Brocade company announced continuation of development of long-term interaction with EMC Corporation by means of integration of solutions for Brocade VCS Ethernet-factories into family of the EMC Connectrix switches.

Thereby the company created the switch which is specially intended for IP-SHD. EMC Connectrix VDX-6740B represents the reliable, adaptive, simple platform in installation for storage systems, cloud services, the systems of deduplication, backup systems and recovery.

The new switch will help to separate IP-SHD traffic. It is more reliable and effective approach in comparison with traditional approach at which traffic of DWH and other traffic are transferred on the same network infrastructure.

The factories optimized for IP-SHD work with EMC Connectrix EMC Connectrix VDX-6740B now – high-performance IP-SHD the switch with short delay which can be used for connection of a broad spectrum of storage systems of EMC - from high-end to NAS and iSCSI-arrays of the middle class. The new switch essentially increases adaptivity and dynamism of the environment by means of Zero-Touch Provisioning technology and a possibility of factory to be configured automatically.

The solutions Connectrix VDX are integrated with the solution Connectrix Manager Converged Network Edition (CMCNE) which provides the single interface for management, monitoring and diagnostics of IP networks and networks of storage Fibre Channel. Integration with EMC Storage Analytics gives the analysis having practical value, allowing to fix quickly problems with performance and capacity of systems.

the Brocade 7840 IP Extension Switch switch Is released

On May 18, 2015 the Brocade company announced start in sale of the Brocade 7840 switch.

In this product support of the Fibre Channel protocol is organized and the support of IP doing is added possible fast and safe communication between DPC for networks on the basis of this protocol will also help to carry out more effectively the tasks of disaster recovery.

According to the statement of vendor, the device provides the performance level similar to local replication, even on extended lines with intensive enciphering.

The Brocade 7840 model is characterized by the increased safety and a possibility of more effective use of high-speed connections between DPC. 256-bit enciphering of IPsec provides the high performance and reliable protection of infrastructure by means of which replication between geographically remote DPCs will be executed. New technologies of optimization of the protocol allow to cut down considerably expenses on the organization of communication between DPC, as much as possible using possibilities of connection via the global computer network (GCN).

Anticipatory monitoring of connections through the WAN helps to minimize time of forced idle time: are debugged work of the WAN earlier, than they will be able to influence replication processes.
