SAP Data Services is the system of the class EIM ^[1], the solution for integration, quality assurance, profiling of data and the analysis of the text.

The product gives abilities to integrate, transformations, improvements and deliveries of data. Has uniform the interface of development, a repository of metadata, a connection layer, runtime environment and a control panel.

2014: Updates of SAP Data Services

On October 8, 2014 the SAP company announced release of updates for solutions on management of corporate data (EIM).

Updates provide expanded support of sources of Big Data, integration into the software solution SAP Lumira for data visualization and also additional opportunities for protection and masking of data for effective management of information.

SAP Data Services gives new opportunities according to the main priorities in the field of data management which include information management, work with Big Data and the simplified integration.

• New features of protection and masking of data allow to protect the major business assets and vulnerable data, to set rules of confidentiality and to provide compliance to industry requirements in all divisions of the organization.

• Expanded support of Hadoop with a possibility of print preview of HIVE tables helps developers of ETL processes to work more effectively and gives to users the chance to load arrays of space data with the help of the geographical ESRI files. Such access level helps the organizations to obtain valuable up-to-date information from all data where they were stored.

• Integration of SAP Information Steward and SAP Lumira simplifies work of users and allows to work more effectively with data in the course of the analysis.

• Integration of SAP Data Services and SAP Replication Server allows to monitor constantly changes of data in the initial systems and also gives powerful opportunities of data translation for analytics in real time.

• The expanded and accelerated mechanisms of identification of errors in complex ETL processes with an opportunity to isolate a certain data stream and its objects during data integration testing.

• Enhanced capabilities of geocoding for countries of Eastern Europe.
