The entry into force of amendments to the 63-FZ "On Electronic Signature," which was introduced by the Federal Law of 27.12.2019 No. 476-FZ, obliges employees of companies to sign electronic documents with a certificate of electronic signature of an individual paired with a machine-readable power of attorney (MFD) from September 1, 2023.

According to the updated legislation, in the electronic document management service without a machine-readable power of attorney, an authorized employee will not be able to conclude contracts, sign acts and invoices and perform other actions on behalf of the company.

SberKorus supported the roaming transfer of MFD with 7 accredited EDO operators: Kontur, Sislink, Ediveb, ETP GPB, Tensor, CRPT (EDO Light), Evotor OFD. With four more operators, the connection process will be completed in the near future.

The digital platform for electronic document management SberKorus opened early access to the service of machine-readable powers of attorney (MCD) for users of electronic document management. Anyone can leave an application for access to the SberKorus Power of Attorney service on the website. This was announced by Sberbank on July 26, 2023.

A machine-readable power of attorney (MCD) is an electronic analogue of a paper power of attorney for signing documents, acting with electronic documents. The technology helps employees sign documents in EDM using an electronic signature certificate of an individual. The MCHD works as an XML file that lists information about the principal, the representative (authorized employee), and the authority he or she receives.

Thanks to the "Power of Attorney" service, the head of the company can create and sign machine-readable powers of attorney to employees using EDO in a couple of clicks. The powers that will be vested in the representative in the power of attorney can be quickly selected from the list. Also, an individual (employee) can independently fill out a power of attorney and send it for signing to the manager. All issued powers of attorney are stored in the register, which allows you to track the statuses and promptly recall the MFD.
