Start S3 Object Storage

Softline Group of Companies (PJSC Softline) has launched S3 object storage in Softline Multi-cloud. The solution is deployed on the basis of the Russian Cyber ​ ​ Infrastructure system of Cyberprotect, it will allow more efficient storage of large volumes of data and the introduction of new services. Softline announced this on June 3, 2024.

Two object storage policies are now available in Softline Multi-Cloud:

• Cold storage that is optimal for storing backups. Applies to data that needs rare access.
• Warm storage that is suitable for storing frequently used data: unstructured files, objects, images, videos, program code, archives, documents, etc. It is used for frequent read-write operations and provides a high speed of access to information.

Softline Multi-Cloud considers S3 storage not only as an independent, but also as a complimentary product that allowed expanding the product line of Softline Group of Companies. Now Multiblock presents a backup service based on the Cyber ​ ​ Backup Cloud solution from Cyberprotect, as well as a virtual machine backup service based on the Open Nebula platform based on the Highstex solution. For all these solutions, S3 storage based on "Cyber Infrastructure" is used.

In the future, Softline will launch several more services using S3 storage. For May 2024, the company is testing one of the solutions for the virtual office - an office application that gives access to a mail system hosted in the cloud.

Availability of Deckhouse Kubernetes Platform

Softline Group of Companies (PJSC Softline) on March 28, 2024 announced the launch of the Kubernetes as a Service service based on the Deckhouse Kubernetes Platform solution from Flant JSC in Softline Multioblaco. The platform is provided in the form of a ready-made cloud service with technical support enabled.

For March 2024, the request to simplify work with containers and micro-services is especially relevant. To meet the growing demand of customers, Softline Multioblaco has supplemented the portfolio of SaaS services with the Kubernetes as a Service solution.

Kubernetes as a Service is a solution deployed on the resources of the Softline public cloud. The platform is provided using the SaaS model, so it can be customized and optimized based on current loads. The flexibility of management, in turn, helps to increase the efficiency of workflows.

Kubernetes as a Service includes not only turnkey installation, but also full product support at all stages of the project. This reduces the time and financial costs of IT, since all processes are implemented virtually on the side of Softline "Multiblack."
