Creation of a uniform account of VK Connect

On June 17, 2020 the press service VKontakte reported that it will be possible to come into Mail.ru Group services using a uniform account of VK Connect. It is created based on technologies of VKontakte, but it is possible to use it and without profile in social network. Thanks to VK Connect it is not necessary to remember tens of passwords, it will become simpler to manage data in different applications and on the websites, and expanded security settings will increase data protection level.

As of June, 2020 the uniform account already works in applications of Delivery Club service and the voice assistant Marusya. To become authorized in them, one contact will be enough — to select an input through VK Connect enough. Soon the uniform account will integrate key services of an ecosystem Mail.ru Group: mail Mail.ru, Citymobil, to Yul and others. It is in the future going to connect to service and external partners.

According to the developer, VK Connect integrates all settings of an account in a uniform personal account thanks to what to users it will be simpler:

• Fill and update information on itself. A name, a surname, the city and other data it is necessary to enter all time, and then they can be used for all services. For example, if to specify the address in one of applications, it will be available everywhere: and on the website with delivery of food, and in service for a taxi call.
• Pay goods and services. It is enough to link the bank card once — and with its help it will be possible to pay off in all services. Will become the general and the history of transactions — it is convenient to monitor expenses.
• Manage paid subscriptions. Combo and also Muzyka of VKontakte and BOOM are gathered — it is possible to subscribe or remember when the following payment. The subscription of Combo allows users to go with discounts by the Citymobil taxi, to order delivery of food from Intersection or Delivery Club, to listen to music of VKontakte and to watch movies in Okko or on Megafon TV.
• Control data security and access to services. VK Connect increases data protection level in all services thanks to enhanced capabilities of control: the general history of sessions, two-factor authentication, the system of restoring access in case of loss of the password or access to the phone number. In addition the user sees the list of all projects where it is authorized using a uniform account, and can change it. Thus, he decides with what services he wants to interact through VK Connect.

For June, 2020 the personal account is already available to VKontakte and also will appear in other services where there is an input through a uniform account.

According to the statement of the developer, VK Connect is one of basic elements of VK SuperAppKit — a set of development tools which integrates VKontakte and Mail.ru Group services in a uniform ecosystem. In addition to VK Connect it includes also other projects: the platform for developers VK Mini Apps, loyalty program Combo, voice technologies Marusya payment system VK Pay.
