The ISBC group of companies became the first independent organization in Russia to be granted the official right to identify animals by the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor). This was reported to TAdviser on December 19, 2018 by ISBC representatives. According to them, as part of pilot projects, ISBC plans to create electronic animal identification and accounting systems that provide radio frequency (RFID) identification for veterinary, zootechnical and breeding purposes.

To this end, the first cooperation agreement in Russia was concluded between ISBC and Rosselkhoznadzor, the company said. Under its terms, within the framework of the project, ISBC provides individual or group identification, accounting and labeling of productive animals belonging to agricultural organizations of all forms of ownership. At the same time, the company provides tagging tools with unique identification numbers assigned and is responsible for entering information about animals into the automated information system.

In addition to the direct implementation of identification projects, ISBC received the right to consult on the identification and accounting of animals, as well as to prepare proposals for the project "Veterinary Rules for the Implementation of Identification and Accounting of Animals" to optimize the procedure for these processes.

According to representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor and ISBC, the introduction of radio frequency identification will become the basis for the development and growth of Russian animal husbandry.

Improving the efficiency of animal husbandry is impossible without modern digital technologies. Accurate accounting and control of all parameters requires the integration of information systems with real objects, it is necessary to accurately identify each animal. This is the foundation for the entire industry. Solutions for RFID identification from ISBC turn the farm into a modern automated complex with high efficiency, which allows you to increase the quality characteristics of animals, "said Alexey Antonov, Director of the Department of Electronic Animal Identification ISBC.

2015: "NIIME and Micron" and ISBC become technology partners

The ISBC group of companies and NIIME and Micron OJSC, which is part of the industry holding RTI Group OJSC (AFK Sistema), entered into an agreement on strategic technological partnership in the creation and implementation of joint developments on the basis of the Russian microcontroller MIK51SC72D in the spring of 2015.

In accordance with the signed agreement, ISBC receives the exclusive right to use the microcontroller as a means of delimiting access, calculating and storing an electronic signature, an authentication means (including biometric) in the smart card form factor, or a USB token.

The MIK51SC72D chip, manufactured on Micron according to the 180 nm topology, implements cryptographic algorithms for checking the electronic signature of GOST R34.10-2001 and R34.10-2012 at the hardware level. It supports fingerprint biometric authentication, has a built-in Java machine and the ability to use a smart card as both a payment and e-wallet (EMV certified).

Microcontroller MIK51SC72D is the first chip for generating, verifying and storing an electronic signature, the development and production of which was carried out by a Russian company in Russia, which, according to ISBC, guarantees the absence of any deliberately introduced malicious "bookmarks" on the chip. Previously, hardware implementation of cryptographic algorithms was used only in foreign-made microcircuits.
