University building, 2022

The main task is to create a set of electronic services that allow you to learn and work with the maximum use of digital technologies. According to Ilya Krasilnikov, Vice-Rector for Digital Development of the Moscow Polytechnic, this will transform the educational process and improve the quality of the final educational product.

In 2022, there were serious changes in the IT industry. A new model of threats to the development of information platforms has been formed, Western vendors and developers have left the market or reduced the provision of services. We adhere to the principle of "digital sovereignty" when introducing new software and systems, the expert notes.

In December 2022, the replacement of Microsoft server solutions with a domestic operating system and database management system began. By September 2023, the university plans to connect Russian Astra Linux and Postgres Pro.

In 2022, more than 30 services were created and redesigned in the personal accounts of students. Among them are a student's personal card, a certificate of training for a military registration and enlistment office, a questionnaire for reconciling these employees, relocation to a hostel, an application for a superior room and a number of others. QR passes for guests have been introduced as a pilot project, their testing will continue in 2023.

As Krasilnikov noted, the Moscow Polytechnic showed dense digital interaction during the reception campaign in the summer of 2022. During this period, 92% of applicants used digital services, 74% of applications were submitted electronically. The university actively used the "Proceed Online" super service, 43,424 packages of documents were sent through it, 35,822 were received.

Particular attention during the reception campaign was paid to digital security. In 150 days, it was possible to repel 300 + attacks, 10200 IP addresses were blocked.

In 2022, according to Krasilnikov, students of the Moscow Polytechnic actively used the LMS learning management system, the number of its users increased by 25%, online courses increased by 21%.
