Forsyth has a new co-owner. ITG sold 33%
In July 2020, Forsyth had a new shareholder - Claudkom became the owner of a 33 percent stake, which corresponds to 417.8 million rubles in the authorized capital. The Claudcom company is new: it was formed in April 2020. Its founder and general director is entrepreneur Vladimir Turovetsky. Inline Technologies capitalized Forsyth for a billion rubles

The second life of the analytical platform Prognoz Platform
In 2016, Forsyth received an exclusive extended license for Forecast software. She gives her the right to license, refine and support Forecast products.
According to Vladimir Komov, Forsyth plans serious investments in the development of products and a partner network for their sales. For 2017, investments in the amount of 500 million to 1 billion rubles are planned for these purposes, he said.
Forsyth plans to release a new, 9th version of the Forecast flagship product, the Prognoz Platform, at the end of 2017. The latest version was previously released in 2015. The updated product will contain "revolutionary changes" and take into account the latest trends in the BI market and advanced analytics, Komov said.
In a conversation with TAdviser, he noted that, in particular, it will implement in-memory technologies (computing in RAM), performance will be significantly increased, cloud support, additional visualization tools, real-time BI, BPM support, major changes in terms of data storage management, etc. A platform-based business application designer will also be created as a standalone product.
Unlike Forecast, which, in addition to developing its own products, provided custom development services ON based on products from third-party vendors, Forsyth plans to focus on developing and promoting its own products, as well as promoting partner solutions created on their basis, Vladimir Komov told TAdviser.
The company does not plan to carry out custom developments that are not related to products based on the Prognoz Platform.
Moreover, the company does not plan to implement its own products in the near future. Forsyth would like to do this through partners.
Developers - under the wing
The team of developers of the Prognoz Platform as of April has been formed and is about 120 people, Komov told TAdviser.
After the difficulties that arose in the "Forecast," these developers quit and as of the beginning of 2017 were "technically" dispersed in different companies. They are still developing Forecast products for Forsyth as contractors, working as a single team, he explained.
After the planned restructuring, Forsyth wants to transfer these developers to its staff.
Vladimir Komov told TAdviser that in the future, Forsyth plans to bring the development team to more than 300 people. As of April, Forsyth is actively hiring such specialists.
In the "best years" of "Forecast," according to Komov, about 200 developers worked on the Prognoz Platform, including the outsourcing teams they attracted.
Perm, as before, will remain the main development base. The company also plans to develop a base in St. Petersburg.
In addition to the developers, Forsyth expects to establish relations with the teams of implementers of the Forecast products, which left the company and dispersed to different legal entities. With a number of these teams, Forsyth signs partnership agreements in order to continue to work with them as partners.
Partner Network Formation
Since the end of 2016, Forsyth has begun to actively develop its partner network. The company has redesigned the partner program that Forecast had, and now, according to Komov, it is one of the most interesting on the market.
Partners are assigned the role of not only integrators, but also provide for the possibility of using Forsyth technologies when creating their own products - the so-called OEM partnership.
Denis Milyukov, Forsyth Partner Director, said that as of April 2017, the company had signed a partnership agreement with about 15 partners.

More than 10 more agreements are in the works, the signing of which Forsyth expects in the near future. Among the latter are agreements with AI and CROC.
By the end of 2017, Forsyth expects to sign a total of about 60 partnership agreements, says Milyukov.
At the initial stage, Forsyth will focus on the formation of a Russian partner network. At the same time, the company also cooperates with foreign partners who had "Forecast."
Denis Milyukov noted that Forecast itself, in fact, only in the last couple of years began to develop a partner program, and before that the company did everything on its own and had a powerful staff of implementers.
In previous years, "Forecast" took a lot of business for itself, preventing partners from developing their business. Old new customers
Vladimir Komov believes that Forsyth was able to support the main large customers of Forecast, and they practically did not feel that the company had great financial difficulties.
Old projects of large customers have been saved and restarted. Forsyth has acted as a guarantor that the platform will be developed and supported, says Komov.
With some customers, Forsyth is discussing a strategic partnership that is relevant against the background of the import substitution rate. One of the largest such customers, according to Komov, is Gazprom, where the Prognoz Platform is used quite widely.
As of April, Forsyth is negotiating with Gazprom on the launch of new projects and the development of existing ones, on the transition to new versions of the platform, Komov says.
Komov called TAdviser the Central Bank of Russia another of the largest customers with whom Forsyth works. The financial regulator was concerned about the fate of Forecast and its software, said the CEO of Forsyth, since the bank has a large number of systems implemented on the Prognoz Platform.
The company is also discussing strategic partnerships, for example, with Transneft and Rosneft. Komov noted that some projects in the public sector, despite the efforts of his company, were suspended, but in general the situation is developing positively.
The remains of the "Forecast"
As of the beginning of 2017, only supporting units remained in the Forecast itself, Vladimir Komov told TAdviser. According to him, the company no longer performs implementation work. Forecast CEO Maxim Balash is completing the company's affairs, he said.
Debt "inheritance"
The "forecast" has a large number of creditors. There is also a currency component in debt, so the total amount of debt in rubles is constantly changing along with changes in exchange rates. At a rate of 60 rubles per dollar, the company's total debt was estimated at about 6 billion rubles, said the general director of Forsyth.

Why "Forecast" went to the bottom
Vladimir Komov believes that the financial difficulties of "Forecast" are a consequence of a number of decisions that the company's management at one time made. ITG believes that two strategic mistakes were made.
The first mistake is that management did not develop the vendor direction, did not separate it from the consulting, integrator business. The latter, by definition, carries higher risks, Komov noted.
The second mistake is a very wide expansion, including into foreign markets. It required very significant investments, while it did not always give a sufficient financial result. The company simply did not have enough financial resources to implement the expansion program.
When, as a result of these ineffective investments, financial difficulties appeared, employees began to delay their salaries, instability appeared in the company, entire teams began to leave Forecast. This further tightened the financial loop around the company's neck and introduced additional instability in the market, as negative information very much affects the decision-making on the implementation of this or that software.
