On September 1, 2008, the federal state enterprise AECHC was transformed into the open joint-stock company Angara Electrolysis Chemical Plant.

Currently, OJSC AECHC is undergoing a restructuring phase as part of the reform of the entire nuclear industry. The plant began implementing a comprehensive program for the development of the enterprise and reducing costs - "New Appearance of AECHC," aimed at achieving one of the main goals - improving the efficiency of production activities. The main areas of the program are optimization of the production control system, including optimization of capacity utilization; introduction of new technologies; energy and resource saving; restructuring of non-core and supporting industries; optimizing the number of personnel and use of space. The company is also working on the implementation of the Rosatom Production System, aimed at the continuous improvement of production processes.

As a development of the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation on the creation of a global nuclear energy infrastructure designed to ensure reliable compliance with the requirements of the non-proliferation regime, the world's first International Center for Uranium Enrichment was created on the basis of AECHC OJSC. Now this project is actively developing, the Nuclear Fuel Bank has been created under IAEA safeguards.

The plant participates in the implementation of the long-term program of activity of the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM for the period up to 2020. It is planned to further develop and improve the two main plants - conversion and separation.

The activity of JSC AECHC is certified in accordance with the quality management system ISO 9001:2000 and the environmental management system ISO 14001:2004 in the certification systems of the Russian Register and IQNet.
