The company was formed by TVEL in 2021 in partnership with the Russian legal entity of the Taiwanese D-Link Corporation, D-Link Trade. And first of all, production - the large-unit assembly of telecom equipment - T-Kom launched T-KOM at the site of the Moscow Polymetal Plant (part of TVEL) in the spring of 2022[1].

In June 2022, at a public consultation following the presentation of the TVEL public report for 2022, representatives of the fuel division said that T-Com now has more than 70 models of switches that ensure the construction and functioning of internal networks of various complexity: access switches, aggregation switches, core switch.

The production capacity of the T-Kom large assembly site is 1.2 thousand units of products per month. The full-cycle contract site produces 40 thousand units of components per year and can quickly increase production[2]

All switch models are certified and included in the unified industry guidelines of Rosatom on unification of products in the field of IT. T-Com has become the main recommended manufacturer of network equipment. The switches were also included in the list of special goods, works and services for the needs of the nuclear industry.

But in addition to Rosatom enterprises, T-Com switches are used by Rosneft, Gazprom, Rosseti Lenenergo, Gazprom Neft, South-West CHPP, etc., the industry publication of the state corporation Rosatom Country reports with reference to representatives of TVEL.

In May 2023, T-Com switches were included in the unified register of Russian electronic products of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The control software of the access switches of the TGK-121 and TGK-125 series has been developed in Russia and is included in the register of Russian software. As of June 2023, work is underway on software for aggregation and kernel switches.

According to the manufacturer, its switches are compatible with foreign server and telekom­oborudovaniyem, for example, Cisco and Huawei.

Closing of TVEL and D-Link deal on JV creation

An international company became a partner in the joint venture. Work on the creation of a Russian manufacturer of network and telecommunication equipment has been carried out Block the digitalization of TVEL JSC since 2018 as part of the tasks of the Unified Digital Strategy of Rosatom State Corporation and the implementation of the product strategy of the Digital Products direction of TVEL JSC. An important role for making a decision to create a company was played by an external factor in the form of the need of Russian enterprises for domestic and import-independent equipment.

Cooperation between TVEL and D-Link is based on deep competencies in the field of information technology and experience in the implementation of large IT projects by TVEL JSC and technological and production support from a partner. D-Link will provide the T-Com joint venture with software and competencies for its further development and localization, hardware components and technologies for its assembly and modernization.

From the first year of T-Com's existence, a line of controlled switches with software developed in the Russian Federation will be available to Russian customers, and from 2022 Russian customers will receive Russian-made T-Com equipment certified by FSTEC, which will expand the range of consumers.

It is assumed that T-Com will produce more than 30 models of managed switches to build or upgrade any segment of the network with multi-level service support. The key consumers of the products of the joint venture will be companies of various industries in the Russian Federation: industry and fuel and energy complex, nuclear industry, education and science, healthcare, telecom operators and others.
