2024: Renamed "Rosatom Implantable Systems"

Rosatom has agreed with the Government of the Russian Federation to rename 21 companies that are part of the state corporation's management loop in such a way as to include the words "Russian Federation," "Russia" or their derivatives in their names. The corresponding order of the Cabinet of Ministers (of 22.01.2024 No. 109-r) was published on the official portal of legal information on January 23, 2024. According to the list approved by the order, LLC RuSat Implantable Systems (LLC RuSat Implant) received the name Rosatom Implantable Systems LLC (Rosatom Implant LLC).

2023: Establishing an Enterprise

RuSat MetalTech LLC, a divisional integrator in the direction of Metallurgy of the Fuel Company of Rosatom TVEL, has established a subsidiary of RuSat Implant LLC, on the basis of which the production of import-substituting titanium implants for osseous and intraosseous osteosynthesis will be implemented. TVEL announced this on June 6, 2023.

It is planned that the subsidiary will annually produce at least 140 thousand units of titanium implants: plates for osteosynthesis of small, medium and large bone fragments, intramedullary pins for the treatment of fractures of the brachial, femoral and tibial bones and the necessary surgical instrument for their installation, removal and replacement.

For June 2023, a procedure for registering medical devices is underway, which will allow them to be supplied to medical institutions in the country. The launch of products is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2024, the degree of localization of implants will reach 90%. It is expected that the company's products will replace foreign analogues in the field of restorative surgery, which will increase the availability of Russian high-tech medical care and its independence from market conditions.

Creation of own production of implantable full-cycle products - from material to finished product - investment project "RuSat MetalTech" for the development of the medical industry in Russia. The capacity of the enterprise will provide at least 30% of the needs of the Russian healthcare market in high-quality medical implants for traumatology and orthopedics, and in the future completely replace imported medical products in this segment. This is a very important project in terms of promoting high-level technologies, replacing a large flow of imported products, and the most important thing is the creation of medical devices that meet world quality standards for the population of Russia, - said Andrei Andrianov, General Director of RuSat MetalTech LLC.

The production of RuSat Implant with an area of ​ ​ more than 1.7 thousand square meters will be localized at the Alabushevo site of the Technopolice Moscow special economic zone, which will allow the company to use the entire range of support measures provided for SEZ residents and reinvest the saved funds in the development of the project. RuSat Implant LLC will create more than 80 jobs for highly qualified specialists and students of specialized universities and colleges.

Another tenant of the SEZ "Technopolice Moscow" "RuSat Implant" is located in the Innovative Laboratory and Industrial Building "Alabushevo." All premises in the building are general purpose and adapt to office or production needs.
