2024: Equipping four stations of Troitskaya line

T2 has equipped four stations of the Troitskaya metro line, the opening of which is expected in the capital in the near future. Passengers of the stations "Innovation," "University of Friendship of Peoples," "General Tyulenev," "Tyutchevskaya" will be able to use uninterrupted 3G and 4G communication both on platforms and in distillation. The operator announced this on September 6, 2024.

The opening of the Potapovo station of the Sokolnicheskaya line and the construction of the Trinity line became important events for the T2 and the reason for the development of the operator's network in the subway.

Communication in the metro allows the company to demonstrate its manufacturability, improve the user experience of customers and maintain competitiveness in the market. T2 prepared in advance for the opening of the metropolitan subway line and at the construction stage equipped the station infrastructure with the necessary communication equipment: radio, system modules, climate cabinets and other elements. Communication at stations works in LTE2100, LTE2600 and UMTS2100 standards, LTE800, LTE2100 and UMTS2100 are involved in tunnels.

T2 specialists began work on the emerald line in June, and fully completed the installation of the equipment in August 2024. A drive test conducted in early September showed that the operator's signal works stably in 3G and 4G technologies in all sections of the line: at stations, escalators, lobbies and tunnels.

{{quote 'author = said Alexey Krushinin, technical director of the macroregion "Moscow." | Just yesterday, the opening of Potapovo took place, and we provided the first passengers of the station closing the red line with high-quality voice communication and the Internet. However, the construction of the metro does not stand still, and from day to day we expect the opening of a whole line. Continuous communication in Moscow and, in particular, in the subway is our priority, so Troitskaya line will also be provided with communication,}}

2023: Completion of the modernization of the network on the entire infrastructure of the Moscow metro

Tele2, a Russian mobile operator, on November 30, 2023 announced the completion of the stage of modernization of the communication infrastructure in the Moscow metro. Since the beginning of 2023, Tele2 has launched 72 base stations and laid a radiating feeder in tunnels with a length of more than 195 km in double-track terms. Stable communication Tele2 is now available on the entire infrastructure of the metropolitan subway.

The Moscow Metro is a strategically important facility for telecom operators. According to the Unified Transport Portal for October 2023, on average, 7.71 million times use the metro per day, and the number of trips is growing. Tele2 modernized the network and improved communication at stations and in metro tunnels. Residents of the capital can use high-quality mobile Internet everywhere in the metro: watch video in HD quality, download voluminous files and make video calls along the entire route.

In 2023, Tele2 improved communication in the distillation between the Butovskaya, Lublin-Dmitrovskaya, Solntsevskaya and Filevskaya stations of the Moscow metro, the total length of the laid feeder (the transmission line through which electromagnetic waves propagate from the base station to the consumer) - 136.4 km in double-track terms. In addition, in March 2023, the operator provided communication at new BCL stations - 43.5 km of tunnels in double-track terms, and also modernized the network in distillation between the existing stations of the Big Ring from Khoroshevskaya to Savelovskaya - 15.2 km in double-track terms.

In just a year, Tele2 launched more than 72 base stations in the Moscow metro, and also covered 14 new subway stations: 9 of them are at BCL, 2 are at the Solntsevskaya line and 3 are at Lublin-Dmitrovskaya.

In 2022, Tele2 carried out modernization on the Kalinin and Kaluga-Riga lines, at stations from Kosino to Nekrasovka of the Nekrasovskaya line and on the section from Vykhino to Kotelnikov of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line. As a result of the modernization, customers can be guaranteed to use high-speed Internet and voice services throughout the route in the subway.

"The Technical Department has carried out a large-scale modernization of Tele2 telecom infrastructure in the Moscow Metro in all sections of the facility: in the lobbies, on escalators, stations and in distillation. It was a difficult project: work can be carried out only at night, when the metro is closed to passengers. Now the operator's customers are guaranteed to use stable voice communication and the Tele2 Internet anywhere in the metro. In subsequent years, we will continue to improve communication in the Moscow region and work on strategically important facilities for the company and Muscovites, "said Alexei Krushinin, technical director of the Moscow macro-region.

2021: Increase SIM terminals to 54

On July 19, 2021, Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, shared the interim results of the operation of trading terminals in the Moscow Metro.

The project to install terminals for issuing SIM-cards at Moscow metro stations continues the strategic vector of the development of operator retail. It involves the creation of a cost-effective distribution network focused on presence in convenient places for the client, as well as on optimizing the costs of maintaining retail outlets. You can get a Tele2 SIM card in the lobbies and crossings of 54 stations located on ten metro lines. To do this, just press the corresponding button on the terminal display, select the tariff plan and pick up the card from the dispenser cell.

From the first month of operation of retail terminals, the demand for connections through them remains steady growth: in June 2021, the number of issued SIM-cards increased more than six times compared to December 2020, which indicates the demand for this channel among Muscovites and guests of the capital. At the same time, the largest number of connections occurred in April: for this month, 28% of the total volume of cards sold in six months was issued.

In the installed terminals, you can connect to the tariff plans "My Online" or "Everywhere Online" and use the test industrial period after making 100 rubles.

In June, Tele2 integrated a network of retail terminals with an online store: now customers can choose any device at the most convenient subway station as a pick-up point and receive an order issued on the operator's website. Thus, taking into account the traditional single-brand retail and partner distribution network, the number of pick-up points for Internet orders in the capital region exceeded one thousand.

The operator pays attention not only to the development of a high-quality distribution network in the metropolitan metro, but also to the availability of mobile Internet. In early June 2021, the company completed large-scale technical work on the installation of 5G-ready equipment in the Moscow Metro. Now communication is available throughout the Serpukhov-Timiryazevskaya, Arbat-Pokrovskaya, Sokolnicheskaya, Zamoskvoretskaya and Koltsevaya lines. In addition, the operator's network operates throughout the Moscow Central Ring.

2020

Installing SIM Card Dispensers

On November 25, 2020, Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, announced an offer to passengers of the Moscow Metro to purchase the operator's SIM card right in the subway. The company will install trading terminals in the vestibules and crossings of metro stations. The first SIM card dispensers appeared on the Lenin Library and Borovitskaya - in total, the project will cover 54 stations of the Moscow Metro. These capabilities of partner equipment will allow Tele2 to significantly expand the distribution network.

To get a SIM card, the client just needs to press the corresponding button on the terminal display, familiarize himself with the operator's offer and pick up the card from the dispenser cell. At the same time, the subscriber can activate the SIM card on his own using the My Tele2 mobile application - interface prompts will help you register and conclude an agreement.

The functionality of the device implies interactive interaction with passengers: liquid crystal displays broadcast the operator's current offer in real time, and a public menu answers all questions, greatly simplifying the self-service process. Guests of the capital will also be able to turn to the terminal - in addition to the Russian language, he "speaks" English and Chinese.

In the installed terminals, Tele2 offers metro passengers the "My Online" tariff.

Anton Zhukovsky, commercial director of the macroregion Moscow"" Tele2:

Such a digital solution is a bold step to improve customer service. Now a metropolitan can even solve practical problems on the way, for example, connect to the Tele2 network and test our connection. We value the time of our customers and make it easier to buy SIM cards. With the help of terminals, we synthesized the usual retail and the message of technological developments. At the same time, we consider this project economically justified, recording in the metro an active increase in the consumption of data traffic by metropolitan subscribers. So, only since the beginning of the year, the number of downloaded gigabytes has increased by 30%, while a high-quality Tele2 connection awaits the passenger in the subway itself. We plan in 2021 to provide high-speed Internet most of the branches on the distillations between stations.

In November, the number of base stations increased by 59% year-on-year

Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, on November 19, 2020 summed up the results of technical development in the Moscow metro. Against the background of traffic migration during the pandemic, the company accelerated the pace of construction of technical infrastructure. In mid-November, the number of LTE base stations in the metropolitan subway increased by 59% year-on-year. Since October 2018, when Tele2 provided one hundred percent coverage of LTE metro stations, the number of BS has almost tripled.

Tele2 has tripled the number of LTE base stations in the Moscow Metro

In November, the consumption of data traffic in the metro remained at the level of pre-quarantine values - an increase by the first weeks of February was only 8%. Stagnation of traffic amid the pandemic has accelerated construction work to modernize the network.

In 2020, the operator carried out large-scale technical measures to install 4G equipment: in November, the number of LTE base stations in the Moscow metro increased by 59% year-on-year. At the same time, since the provision of one hundred percent LTE coverage in the Moscow subway, the operator has increased the number of 4G BSs by 172%.

Tele2 provided full indoor coverage of the LTE network at all metro stations, including related infrastructure, back in October 2018. Already at the start, the company was building a 5G-ready network using modern equipment. With the help of big data technology, Tele2 predicts peak loads and expands the network capacity in advance where necessary. The most traffic Sokolnicheskaya line has become the most active in terms of construction rates. Since January 2020, the number of base stations here has grown by 104%.

Subscribers of the operator can use high-speed 4G Internet not only at stations, but also in the races between them. The Tele2 network is available today for 264 km of the Moscow metro. The feeder cable is laid along the entire length of the first, third and fifth lines, as well as on the section from the Vodnaya Stadium to the Domodedovskaya station. The signal that the cable emits allows uninterrupted communication on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya, Sokolnicheskaya, Koltsevaya and a section of the Zamoskvoretskaya branches.

"It is important for Tele2 customers to stay in touch every minute, including while using underground transport. Despite the complex architecture of the metro and the limitations on the time of installation, we maintain the most dynamic network construction in the industry. So, in 2021, we plan to provide high-quality Internet most of the metro lines on the distills between stations. The next stage of construction is the Serpukhov line. Investing in the development of the network in tunnels, we primarily think about the convenience of our customers, providing seamless client experience both anywhere in the city and under the city, "said Alexey Krushinin, technical director of the Moscow macroregion Tele2.

Network coverage of Arbat-Pokrovskaya and Sokolnicheskaya lines

On September 18, 2019, the company Tele2 announced the completion of work on the installation of equipment on two branches of the capital at once. subway The feeder cable is laid along the entire length of the Arbat-Pokrovskaya and Sokolnicheskaya lines. It emits a signal that allows it to provide communication for the entire length of two branches: from Pyatnitsky highway to Shchelkovskaya and from Kommunarka to Rokossovsky Boulevard. Now Tele2 subscribers can use high-speed - 4G not Internet only at stations, but also in the races between them.

Tele2 in the Moscow metro

The next stage of construction in the Moscow metro is the Koltsevaya and Zamoskvoretskaya lines. Technical specialists plan to provide a signal in the tunnels between all stations of these sections by the end of 2019. Thus, after the installation of equipment and the completion of installation work, the 4G network will become available throughout almost a third of the tracks of the metropolitan subway.

File:Aquote1.png
Building a network on the territory of the metropolitan metro is not an easy task. The architecture of the subway has many nuances, the time for installation work is limited by the specifics of the metro, and the total length of all tunnels exceeds 400 kilometers. Nevertheless, we continue to build a network in tunnels and by 2021 we will provide all metro lines with high-quality Internet. Our main task is to provide Tele2 subscribers with the complete seamless use of mobile services: both anywhere in the city and under the city, when the client is on the way,

Network launch on Arbat-Pokrovskaya line

On March 13, 2019, Tele2, a mobile operator in Russia, announced the launch of a network in the tunnels of the Moscow Metro. The first branch in the tunnels, which already has access to the Tele2 cellular signal, was the Arbat-Pokrovskaya line.

Already in March 2019, Tele2 subscribers can be in the access zone in the distillation between the Smolenskaya and Shchelkovskaya stations of the Arbat-Pokrovskaya line and use the LTE network. In the second quarter of 2019, communication will be available throughout the blue branch. Work on the installation of equipment is carried out simultaneously on all sections of the Arbat-Pokrovskaya line. A feeder cable is laid in its tunnels, which emits a signal along the entire length and provides continuous communication.

The second branch, in the distillations of which the Tele2 signal will appear, will be the Sokolnicheskaya line. 3G and 4G communication will be available on the red line. Technicians have already started installing the equipment. Tele2 is also considering connecting the Ring Line tunnels to the network.

File:Aquote1.png
The transport system of the city is a key priority in the technical development of Tele2. Millions of our subscribers go down to the subway every day, and, of course, it is important for them to always stay in touch. By 2021, we plan to provide high-quality communication to all tunnels of the Moscow metro, including sections and stations under construction. The cost of all work in distillation is comparable to the amount of financing for the construction of the network at the stations. Investing in the development of the network in tunnels, we primarily think about the convenience of our customers and strengthening loyalty to the Tele2 brand. We provide the subscriber with a seamless client experience - moving from platform to carriage, he will continue to use the Internet with the same comfort, without the need to connect to Wi-Fi.

Five SIM terminals in the Moscow metro

On November 1, 2018, Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, announced that it had installed five SIM terminals in the Moscow Metro. Thus, the company increased the total number of terminals to seven: the first SIM-card machine appeared on the eve of the main football event of the year at Vnukovo airport, and the second in Domodedovo in August 2018.

SIM terminals installed in the summer connect twice as many subscribers as a salon or module located at the station or at the airport. At the same time, the opening of one such point of sale allows Tele2 to save more than 1 million rubles compared to an ordinary communication salon. During the operation, SIM-card vending machines served users from 95 countries.

The device biometric with the system face recognition allows you to fully automate the issuance of SIM-cards and provide reliable connections. In addition to Russian English languages, now Tele2 SIM terminals "speak" in. Chinese

Tele2 is constantly expanding the functionality of the SIM card machine: in the near future, subscribers will be able to replenish the balance through the terminal, and later with the help of the device it will be possible to choose a tariff and a beautiful number, go to Tele2 via MNP. The machine will also issue SIMs ordered online, recover lost cards or provide account details electronically.

The complex is based on the specialized PENTA Scanner Cube passport scanner, which is used in 100 countries. The client attaches the passport page with the photo to the scanner, which reproduces the document in three ranges. The built-in 3D camera compares the photo with the face of the future subscriber. Then the client attaches the second page of the passport to the device - the module recognizes the text and fills out the service agreement. The user checks the electronic copy of the document and, if agreed, accepts the conditions. After that, a window for an electronic signature appears on the monitor. The client signs on the screen, and the system checks the signature with the sample in the passport. The terminal then sends the signed contract to the subscriber via SMS and issues a SIM card.

As of November 2018, the SIM terminal issues cards for free. By default, users are set to the "My Tele2" tariff with a balance of 50 rubles. Tele2 subscriber can change the tariff and activate additional options in the "Personal Account," using the USSD command or in the operator's cabin.

Tele2 has always paid great attention to the quality of the network in the Moscow metro as the most important transport facility, which serves more than 8.5 million passengers every day. We covered all metro stations with the LTE network, and installing our SIM terminals on metro traffic lines is a logical continuation of the development of our infrastructure in the subway. Already the first results of the complex proved the effectiveness of such a retail format: it gives twice as many connections as a standard salon at the airport or at the station. We expect that the installed automatic machines in the metro will be in demand by passengers. It is the convenience of the SIM terminal installed in the path of a potential user that can push the client to make a choice in favor of Tele2.

Many stations belong to protected cultural heritage sites, so the construction network required additional coordination from the outside. Department of Cultural Heritage of the city

Providing communication in the metro opens up opportunities for the development of projects related to "big data" analytics. Thus, Tele2 analyzed the activity of subscribers from June to August 2018 and determined the most popular metro lines in the capital. According to the results of June-August 2018, the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya, Zamoskvoretskaya and Kaluga-Riga lines became the busiest. In the summer of 2018, subscribers downloaded more than 125 TB of Internet traffic at the stations of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line, made over 2 million calls with a total duration of 27 thousand hours, which is equivalent to three years.
