2023: VimpelCom takes stake in Platformcraft

On October 30, 2023, it became known about the sale of 13.21% of Platformcraft to VimpelCom. Financial and other terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

According to the press service of VimpelCom, the share in Platformcraft was bought in order to expand the portfolio of Beeline cloud products and services and strengthen the company's position in the cloud market. For Platformcraft, the deal, in turn, opened additional channels of promotion and development. The investments received will go to the development of new products and the expansion of infrastructure. Beeline cloud's large customer base and marketing support is expected to multiply Platformcraft's growth rate, VimpelCom said in a statement.

VimpelCom acquired 13.21% of Platformcraft

Under the terms of the agreement, the Beeline cloud product loop will include the following solutions: scalable S3 object storage; services for storing, processing and distributing content; On-Anticipate tools to deploy technology solutions for storing and handling content on customer equipment. As VimpelCom added, thanks to the ability to work on Rest API, S3 Like API, Web GUI and SFTP solutions are integrated into any technology stack, which makes them available to a wide range of Beeline cloud customers.

This partnership will strengthen our position in the cloud solutions market, as well as accelerate the dynamics of growth and implementation of new services. According to him, by the end of October 2023, Platformcraft and VimpelCom are already working on a major joint project, the launch of which is scheduled for early 2024.
