On May 19, 2022, the Tel Aviv-based e-learning and career training platform Masterschool announced the completion of a $100 million planting round to expand the network of partner schools as a means to solve the shortage of technical personnel around the world.

The round was led by venture capital firm Group 11, it was also attended by Target Global (the fund was founded by Russians), Pitango Ventures, Dynamic Loop Capital, Sir Ronald Cohen and a number of other strategic investors.

Target Global, founded by Russians, has invested in an Israeli platform for teaching IT specialties

Founded in 2019, Masterschool has organized a network of schools focused on career learning in the field of technology, in response to the growing number of vacancies in the field of IT and other high technologies emerging around the world. Through their extensive network, technology creators and industry experts open schools to teach a series of 6-9-month dynamic courses and curricula that develop in accordance with market and technology trends to prepare students for careers in sought-after fields, which students pay for only after they are hired. Graduates of the school were hired by the largest technology companies in the world, such as Google, Microsoft and Intel.

Applicants must successfully complete the admission process, which is carried out jointly by Masterschool School researchers and scientists from leading institutions such as the European University Institute and the MIT Sloan School of Management. Accepted students can join schools led by recognized experts and industry leaders such as technology industry content creator Charlotte Chase, data analyst Niklas Steenfatt, programmer and data specialist Keith Galli. Masterschool also offers students a career accelerator in which mentors work with them to evaluate appropriate employment opportunities.
