History

2021: Attraction of 30 million Euro investments

In early March 2021, the Crisp startup attracted 30 million euros as part of the Series B financing round. The round was led by Target Global, founded by Russians, and Keen Venture Partners and co-founders Adyen, Takeaway.com. invested in the online supermarket

By March 2021, Crisp attracted a total of 42.5 million euros. The startup plans to use the funds raised to expand in the Netherlands, and ultimately in Europe. Crisp CEO and co-founder Tom Peters noted that the model of his startup is different in that it offers "quality and convenience - super fresh fish, fruits and super fresh products, etc." The startup does not deliver 15-minute delivery, but delivers products the next day in order to actually deliver fresh products to consumers.

Crisp creates a world-class technology platform that is of value to both consumers and manufacturers. The way we buy food has not changed much since the 1950s, which has led to a decrease in quality, accessibility and convenience. Crisp reflects the changing attitudes of consumers to food today: the European grocery shopping market is starting to move quickly online, which is super accelerated by the pandemic. At the same time, we are seeing a sharp increase in demand for fresh products from transparent sources.[1]
